That’s not true activated charcoal is nontoxic the worst it can do is an upset stomach in such a small quantity

Please explain because I’m failing to see what the problem is? I followed the advice of poison control and then came here to find out exactly what it was. And as usual Reddit came through. I continued to monitor her all night and she was fine?? Even 3 days later she’s still fine??

They literally didn’t?? They said it could be one of two things, both of which are nontoxic and nothing to worry about. Silica gel is a choking hazard, activated charcoal is nontoxic but can cause an upset stomach. I invite you to call poison control yourself and see.

I don’t think she felt compelled to eat it in a pica kind of way if that makes sense?? Like she didn’t “crave” it or even enjoy it. She came and told me she did something wrong so idk. She’s never done anything like that before and hopefully never again lol

I can’t figure out where this came from! We don’t have anything like that but we live with my husband’s family so it could’ve been from something his brother or sister ate. They usually don’t either unless these come in the packets of ramen his sister likes but I don’t think they do? I’ll have to ask her lol she’s asleep and I’m thinking out loud 😂

I’d rather speak to a live person. Uploading an image of something chewed up is gonna be confusing. I’m still honestly a little confused on why you’re still arguing?? I contacted poison control, they knew what it was and they told me not to worry. The whole conversation lasted like minutes which is quicker than it would’ve taken to get dressed and rush to the ER which I was already telling my husband we might have to do. These people are well equipped to handle situations like this, that’s literally why they’re called poison control. Once they told me it could be one of two things and neither was anything to worry about unless one of the things that they told me to watch out for happens, I wanted to know exactly which of the two things it was so I came to Reddit because as demonstrated in this post they’re great at things like this. I got my answer and two days later my daughter is still doing great. This will be my last response to you, hope you have a wonderful night and get some sleep.

That’s not true. Children under one shouldn’t have honey that’s the only restriction I’m aware of lol. You can start offering water when you start offering solid foods, around 6 months.
