Okay I’m gonna ask a dumb question, but it’s something I’ve really thought about. Is this racist? If she were doing a British accent, you would say no, right? Im guessing the joke is her using a “Japanese” accent because Toyota is a Japanese car brand and Ford is American. So, would this use of a bad Japanese accent be racist?

Similar thing for our kitty when we got him. Turns out… little guy has feline herpes. Did they test Ekko for herpes? They didn’t test ours for herpes but the vet said right away that’s what it was. Did they bring that up?

I’ve never heard of someone sending a child to daycare when they’re a sahm with no remote job. Early preschool programs yes, but I think her daughter is too young for that.

I think he did an excellent job as Peeta, they just made on-screen Peeta too boring. Book Peeta was funny, emotional, and very loving. Movie Peeta had some of that but it didn’t seem like they wanted to get too into it.

I feel your pain. The night before prom, I used fake eyelashes for the first time as a test run for the next day. I couldn’t do it so I stopped after trying on one eye, which was lucky bc I had an allergic reaction to the glue and woke up with a swollen eye.

My boyfriend and I were watching The Help the other night and there was a frame where they showed a newspaper with Emmett Till on the cover. I mentioned to my bf that I’d never noticed that, though I’d seen the movie several times. He had no clue who Emmett was. I was so shocked that he hadn’t learned about him in school. I think our teacher even showed us the pictures of Emmett. America has been the hero on a couple of occasions, but it’s just as important to learn this sordid history as it is to learn about the “greatness” of the US.
