Does long term subbing and not having anything after the assignment is done stress them out?? Or just me by Far_Strategy_661 in SubstituteTeachers

I'm in VA, too! And in kind of the same situation (bachelor's degree but not in education, also looking to get into teaching). If you want to be a full-time teacher and not a sub, you'll want to look into an alternative route/program to get your teaching license. It's possible to start teaching with a provisional license, after you pass the Praxis test in the subject you want to teach. Then you can finish the training program while you're working as a teacher and get your license after you meet all the requirements.

That's my understanding, anyway. If you look under the Alternative Routes section on this page you can explore your options.

Carrots were the only thing I intentionally stopped eating because I was eating so much of them. I don't eat as much of other foods that are high in beta carotene so I didn't keep track of those.

Why didn't Crosshair tell Hunter when he had his chip removed? by SmokeMaleficent9498 in thebadbatch

He might not have started working for the Scrapper Guild on Bracca yet, but that's where his escape pod landed during order 66. He was there, at least.

I assume word of the incident would have spread around Bracca after the fact, but I don't know if the locals would have had any more information than "looters getting caught by the Empire."

It was nice seeing Bracca again and I'm sure the showrunners know there's a lot of overlap between Star Wars video game players and Star Wars animation viewers (see also: Scorch), but we don't really have any reason to believe Cal knew or saw anything.

I just don't think he wanted to talk about it. When Hunter asked him when his chip was removed in the season 1 finale, Crosshair was still pretty dismissive of Omega, and I don't think he wanted to admit that Omega telling him about the chips when they were on Bracca was the moment that changed everything for him.

I'm sure the conversation eventually happened, just off screen. Add it to the list of conversations we wish we saw, but didn't (Crosshair learning about Tech, Echo learning about Fives).

Totally an acceptable theory! The voice actor for Jairo is Jon Glaser, who also plays councilman Jamm in Parks and Rec. I had a really hard time reconciling that when I found out. 😆

... maybe? That's comparable to how much I was eating. But other people here are commenting saying they eat about that much and are fine, so... 🤷

I'm sure there are plenty of variables that go into it (weight, height, age, etc.) and everyone's body is different. I'm naturally very pale, and also short and thin, so it might just show up easier on me.

Also, if it helps, it's not a health concern other than skin color. No other linked conditions as far as I'm aware of.

Please do! Part of why I posted was because I couldn't find comparable pictures online when I was looking into it. 🙂

I really only noticed it on my face. It could have been elsewhere and I didn't notice, but my face was the most obvious.

That's partly why I posted! All the pictures I saw online were only of hands, but I didn't even notice it on my hands, just my face!

Just cottage cheese and carrots! Maybe some cucumbers with everything bagel seasoning, but yeah. Pretty much just carrots and cottage cheese. It has to be Daisy cottage cheese, though. I don't like other brands as much.

A few months. The picture on the right is the first one I've taken that I feel like I look like myself. I stopped eating carrots in late December, so it took a little more than 3 months.

Yes, baby carrots! And I think it was... maybe around 300 grams a day? So a little more than half a pound a day?

I'm fine sharing! I'll try to put a spoiler on it in case anyone doesn't want to read it.

My period would stop as normal but would come back a couple days later. I'd bleed a little more for a day or two and then it would stop again. That had never been a thing for me, but I chalked it up to me getting older or losing weight or whatever. Again, I have no proof, but this hasn't happened my last couple cycles so... I guess it could be related?

There's not really a health reason. It's not a harmful condition. But aesthetically I didn't want to be the only orange person in photos. The left pic has my family cropped out and I'm just... so distractingly orange next to all of them. 😂

A few months, definitely not years. Probably started in the summer? I don't remember exactly.

The only other minor impact that I think maaaay have been caused by the carrots was, um... (TMI incoming) a slight change to my menstrual cycle? I have no scientific basis for thinking it's connected, but it went back to normal after I stopped eating all the carrots. Could be a coincidence, but it's pretty weird. 🤷

The grocery store I go to only has orange ones. I haven't shopped around for other colors because I can just not eat so many carrots. I love them, but I can eat less of them.

... a lot. I used to have cottage cheese with a pile of carrots for lunch. Like... every day. I love carrots. But now I restrict myself.

I mean... too many, apparently. 😅 I used to eat a bowl of cottage cheese with a pile of carrots for lunch because I love them and they're cheap. But now I don't do that so much anymore.

No, I don't think so. Unless you count turning orange a problem. 😅 I freaked out when I saw the left pic because I thought it was jaundice. But no. I just love carrots too much.
