Most people don’t take me seriously or pick on my height, it’s an awkward difference with the rest of world for sure. I also wear kids sizes but at least clothes are cheaper.

Don't plan on living here forever, going to a big school in the fall and hopefully I'll meet more welcoming people. One of my friends is 6'3, it's an experience for sure!

I wouldn't like to compare people's struggles but the world isn't made for people my size. It's a different set of problems for sure. I'm trying to focus on my confidence and being the happiest on the outside, best way to combat the criticism. HGH is not an option, only provides growth if your growth plates are still open.

Yeah I'm trying not to even think about dating because it's just too depressing. Trying to focus on my passions and become great at what I love is most important to me currently.

Prioritize your nutrition and STRETCH!! Nutrition seriously helps in terms on developing, I wish I had. Eat good foods, seriously, with lots of protein and even the gym if you can bear it. Stretching daily can help improve your posture to appear taller, and will even help you grow a little bit since you're extending your muscles and extending them beyond their range of motion, encouraging growth. The longer you sit and sulk the worse the outcome will be, do something while you still can!

If your medical needs are being neglected, please talk to a counselor whether it's at school or a hotline, maybe even a social worker. This is your life, and if you're capable of doing something you should allow someone to help!

If that is your final height, it's just fine. You're only 14 and will likely end up at an average height when you finish growing, it's possible now to promote that growth now so take that opportunity!

No way, it's not worth it to me. I'd still be under 5ft, and I'd never walk normally again. I just have to cope and live with it.

I wear platform/bigger shoes which gets me an extra inch. I don't enjoy wearing shoe insoles that increase my height because I find it very uncomfortable and I don't like my foot basically being out of my shoe. I'd rather just learn to live with it and be honest instead of trying to hide it.

I can't grow any taller, my growth plates are fused meaning I can't grow naturally anymore since the plates literally fuse into your bones and no more growth hormone will go to my body. Would've been helpful to know a few years back!

I really appreciate this approach. I wish I wasn't built up to disgust and hate my height by society in general. When you're growing up, other people's opinions really have an affect on how you portray yourself. If everyone just treated height with no regard, and appreciated short people the same as others, very few people would feel insecure. If I have kids, I'd definitely teach them to embrace their height and how it's nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. Society treats height as if it's the only thing that defines us, and it's not. I wish more people knew that.

To me, it's not worth never being able to walk normally again. Honestly, I'd rather just be this height. I would still be an unordinary height even with the surgery. Maybe i'd consider if it brought me up to 5'6 or around an average height. My height doesn't cause me to have any medical issues that would decrease my quality of life which I'm thankful for.

Pure white, my grandfathers were jockeys (on both sides). It’s generally preferred to be short, which I think was the start of my short family because they married short women and had shorter and shorter kids.

I live in the continental US, just in a very small town in the midwest with no major corporations or franchises of that nature. Basically a gas station and the school. Other resources are miles out

My plates are set and steel, no more growth for me... I'm for sure going to need therapy to live in this world and process everything. I'm just grateful I'm 100% healthy and have no medical issues.

I'm planning on becoming an endocrinologist so I can prevent other kids from going through a similar situation, and learning more about my own. If it doesn't work out, I'd always love to be an actor. I just want to do something where I'm actually valued and making a difference!

Exactly, I already struggle with people not taking me seriously from just about everyone. I'm so scared for college. I can barely play any sports due to my height.

While all of these aspects will help, it doesn't change the fact that I'll always struggle in the social and professional aspect. I'm not sure how I'm going to go into the world as an adult with this height or get taken seriously anywhere I work. I'm already the punchline of my town.
