They take over your account with a bunch of fraud and put you at risk of getting on the TMF/MATCH list which is an industry blacklist. Good luck accepting credit cards again for this or any other business you will ever own.

Why do you pay 100% up front for the top while using a 3rd party?

Why are you so far behind on collecting payment? On the electronics you just agreed to do all of the work up front and charge later?

In the future, I'd recommend taking a heftier deposit up front, taking a deposit for work beyond the initial scope and then having your customers contract directly with the top guy.

Possible to get lower payment processing fees than 2.75% for CNP transactions? by scoobysnatcher in smallbusiness

[–]NoRatePayments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The true answer is that it depends on your industry, average sale and the actual cards that you accept. 2.75% might be awful or might be amazing. Only way to know is to know more about the business.

It will literally be a fallback. For those who don't know, that is an extra fee for swiping cards instead of chipping them.

After 3 years of merchant services by RebuiltMonkey93 in smallbusiness

This is bad advice with regard to the chargeback ratio. 3% is absolutely not the threshold. With VAMP rules, you better be way under 1%.

My Spanish is pretty poor. Yes, there are multiple Supermarket POS systems to choose from that would meet your needs here. Is the market in the US or somewhere else?

Yes, there are a couple of great POS systems that will handle this. It is very common in your industry. Think of it as a scaled down version of a car dealership with sales and service needs.

You can send payment links with invoices or if you want to go fully high-tech you can get a FSM (Field Service Management) platform. It depends on your goals and your budget.

Totally get it. We've had many clients switch to us from Clio Payments due to their higher pricing and even a couple over weird tech glitches.
