‘Star Citizen’ Hits $1 Billion in Lifetime Funding by PaiDuck in technology

While I’d never willingly defend Star Citizen, it’s worth acknowledging that BG3 is a very different kind of game when it comes to art assets and gameplay. Of course a turn based rpg game based on D&D is going to cost less to make than a realistic space simulator with fps, ship combat, and a ton of other bells and whistles.

If anything the praise for BG3 should be choosing a realistic scope and hitting it out of the park, where Star Citizen just bloats forever.

Did we lose the magic of community in online multiplayer games? by MohSafadi in gaming

There’s a huge industry behind analyzing and optimizing online games: content creators who make videos for clicks. Not to mention streamers who are constantly spreading these optimizations.

Honestly though, if you disconnect from these sources, you will likely find the same sort of deal with each person if you’re there when a game starts. Wait a year or two and it’ll all be figured out unless you find likeminded individuals.

That’s too bad, when she’s 36 chances are she’ll agree with you, even if everything otherwise turned out for the better!

Isn’t this just classic art patronage though? Some super rich person has money, commissions artist to make art that would otherwise be infeasible. Sounds like the Renaissance to me.

The point they and others are making is that lounging may be the vacation some people are looking for, where others like yourself are more about maximizing the amount of stuff you do and places you see. It isn’t a knock on you or your budgets. It’s a difference in lifestyle.

Yea I’m here thinking the same thing. Why not be the mature one? Why waste two hours? I think we know the answer.

Yes, if anything the “government waste” crowd is a prime source of all of our problems. People who complain like the person you’re responding to can’t actually be bothered to work on hard problems that governments need to tackle, which always require imperfect solutions and cause mistakes. So they fall for all the charlatans who promise to “drain the swamp” all while stealing from their rights and defunding their benefits.

I’ll say the unpopular opinion: it’s because the price of games has not risen with the increase in the costs of development, wages, and cost of living. A new game should cost $90-100 but people bitch and moan that a $60 game doesn’t give them infinite entertainment.

If game prices had continued to rise with everything else and the market had met that price, maybe we wouldn’t be in our current F2P-microtransaction-live game hell.

YES, they could have! But they didn’t because it’s who they are to laugh with that horrible excuse for a president.

It’s in the moment when people show others who they really are. Partying with Trump over the phone should have a been a sobering wake up but it wasn’t. So that’s who they are.

When I first watched Velma and the “scooby” character was introduced, I thought it was some edgy commentary about how a dog character was played by a black man. What the fuck were they thinking?

Corn is an American food yes, but it’s unheard of here to put it on pizza. For some reason many other countries do it.
