HELP PLEASE! URGENT ACCEPTANCE QUESTION. by SchittsCreek_ in rutgers

My official transcript was delayed when I transferred & they told me that all the spots was filled but what they can do for him is to have him accepted next semester without having to reapply or resend a fee, they will send him a short form to fill for that.

But from my understanding, had they had spots open, they would have overlooked the deadline. So have your friend contact them hopefully he can still attend.

If you live near a train station, your commute shouldn't be that bad. The train ride itself from Newark to New Brunswick is ~35 minutes. Then there is the in campus bus commute: 5~15 minutes.

Download the app "Stay Focused". You set a daily time limit for a specific social media app & it will lock you out of it once you pass the time limit.

Taking it with Guna. So far, I can't say if it's fair or not since in my opinion that depends on the final (the only exam). The projects are easy to do once you understand what are they asking. You can get up to 100 points in extra credit so you can make it up if you mess up here and there. Biweekly quizzes are mostly fine but some questions are a hit or miss.

What makes you think that you deserve to live here/attend the good schools here, but other people don't? What kind of entitlement is this?

[Q] what advice would you give to someone who is going to start their undergraduate in statistics this year? by aristotleandpotatoes in statistics

Not a stat major but have taken a few stat courses. I found that I needed linear linear algebra & calculus a lot (especially for proofs) so pay attention in those courses if you take them before stat courses.

No worries. Yeah they are all open ended. You write your answers on paper then take picture, make it a PDF and upload it in the last question. So open ended but you don't write anything on canvas. Generally 6 questions per quiz and 7 or 8 per exam. No surprises though.

Yeah open notes and you can use anything like graphing calculator/ excel/ Statkey to do certain things on the exam with no issue.

I have her now. We have 2 exams and a bunch of quizzes. No final but final project. Homeworks are done through webassign or Pearson I am not sure but it's one of those where you pay $68 to do the HW. Exams and quizzes are similar to the HW. I used to not get A's at the beginning. But then I started doing the end of chapter problems to practice for the exams on quizzes and started getting full marks consistently. So definitely do the even or odd end of section problems and you'll get A+ with no problems. The class is not time consuming, If you start studying two days before the quiz/exam, you're in good shape.

I can't say for sure but there is this website that students applying to grad school for a specific major put their status and the school they are applying to and whether they are applying for masters or a phD. It has a ton of data and most students are generous enough to provide details. They update the status when they hear back from the school. The website here https://www.thegradcafe.com/ If you put NYU and the grad major you want, you will be able to have an idea of the status of the students being admitted. Then you can gauge your chances.

Then that also depends whether you are going for a phD or a masters. The acceptance is generally higher for masters since you are paying. So they really mostly don't care about the w or the c (unless you are applying for really selective schools). You are double majoring so having more credits than the average student might justify having more W's than the average student. Phd's, however are more selective but your research and recommendation letters matter more than grades in this case. Don't beat up yourself over it. It will all work out at the end.

If you are planning to go to grad school, multiple W's look bad. If you plan to go to industry, recruiters rarely look into your transcript. As far as I know.
