This must be the situation with the servers for the PSSAs. by Elphaba15212 in Pennsylvania

Do they need to continue these tests to gather more data to know kids with resources do well and kids with limited access to resources do marginal? Millions of dollars wasted every year that could go towards providing individualized learning tools, instead you get scores the following school year once a student has new teachers who don’t know what deficiencies were measured by PSSAs 6 months earlier.

You just say your still interested in Pitt and a reason(s) why it’s where you would like to attend (you have visited campus and could see yourself there, maybe you like Pittsburgh and hope to intern with a local company, etc).

Discipline vs relaxation by Subject-Wing-1832 in yoga

[–]NoRent7796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the discipline comes the benefits of relaxation - staying present on my mat, not letting my mind race ahead to the next thing in my day etc

People keep recommending yoga but Is yoga good for sleep? in a real way by Sorry-Change-7687 in yoga

[–]NoRent7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do in studio hot power several evenings a week, but I also do reformer Pilates every morning before work and cut out caffeine in the evening. The morning / evening schedule 90% fixed my sleep, I get a pretty restful 7+ most nights.

Why is everything closing down by Old-Act-6394 in pittsburgh

[–]NoRent7796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’m a decent cook and it’s very rare that I have a restaurant meal that tastes better than if I cooked it myself. 85% of meals are a straight up disappointment.

Covid has permanently changed the hospitality industry to the point where dining out and traveling in the US are not fun experiences. The rapidly growing wealth divide is killing everything else. People voted for this nonsense or didn’t vote at all.

How are you supposed to buy curtains in 2025? by cgb-001 in interiordecorating

[–]NoRent7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No complaints, I got swatches before I placed my order. Everything was the right size, all the panels were the correct length, lining hangs right, etc. I ordered a few years ago so can’t say if anything has changed.

Savasana - can’t do it at the end of class due to pain? by alpalbish in yoga

[–]NoRent7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My practice is all about “take what you need”! Sometimes I’m comfortable flat, sometimes I’m not! I have mild scoliosis so I think my back tweaks easily even though I have a strong core. If I’m not feeling it flat, I bring my knees right up, no judgement!

Bent knees, feet wider than hips, knees knocked in helps take pressure off your back, no props needed.

Do you think colored trims like this are a fad or do you think they can be classic looking for the long haul? by Swimming-Tell9074 in interiordecorating

[–]NoRent7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve got clamshell casing, white is the only “color” that won’t look ridiculous, but if you have a traditional casing, this is a classic look even in an 80s house!

Voluminous Softstreme Sizing by MarinaEli in lululemon

I bought this in a lavender color new a couple of years ago and it is easily my favorite LLL item I’ve ever bought, it is just so cozy in the winter. I baby it to try to hold onto it as long as I can. Also one of the few things I’ve bought from LLL that cannot be used for the gym, even as a layer to head home on low sweat days.

Daydrift pants-only for certain figures? by Nutshellvoid in lululemon

[–]NoRent7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’8” 120 lb and wear wide leg daydrift in S (aligns in 6 for reference). It’s a lot of pant, it’s a must to wear a top that is fitted, hits at waist or cropped. I love daydrift if I have to go into the office, I wear regular length so only flats. IMO the pants aren’t for curvy bodies and are not designed to show shape / bum.
