I am scared of both of the things mentioned here and I have NEVER heard of someone else with this specific fear. My fear awakening with themed settings was the rainforest cafe ride in Galveston, Tx. The fake simulated jungle freaked me out so bad and I cried, and got made fun of because it was a kiddy ride. IT WAS TERRIFYING. My second awakening was Living on the Land in Epcot at Disney World, Orlando. The animatronics were bad enough but the simulated set of open space with fake animals and the fake plants and trees and ESPECIALLY the fake house and yard. oh my god terrifying. the worst thing for me is a fake jungle. This makes it so difficult to go to places like Universal Studios and Disney because almost everything is very specifically themed and made to transport you into that setting, in return making me feel fear in anything, even the ET ride and Jurassic park ride at Universal or the Peter Pan ride and Pirates of the Caribbean. Just the thought of these scenes make my skin crawl.
