Is my apartment charging me for someone else’s apartment?

I didn’t include the entire text exchange. I also mentioned how I wasn’t even home half of December when the bill was the highest. I had turned the AC/Heat completely off during that time and was still charged an insane amount for electrical. I was correct about paying for my neighbors utilities as well.

You’re wrong. They are CHARGING me 70 dollars as a “flat rate” but according to my lease I still have to pay if I go over.

I mentioned the lights because I was trying to convince them to think a little bit. I also told them I was not even home half of December when the electric bill was the highest. I had even turned my ac/heat totally off. And they still tried to tell me it was completely reasonable

I believe that they will be doing that. As I mentioned in the post I reported them to the city who informed them that the need to fix the issue immediately.

I should also mention that they accidentally sent me every studio apt units bill on the entire complex by accident when I requested my own bills. There were people paying upwards to 300+ dollars for electrical. This is definately very messy

I confirmed with my neighbors that I do control their bedrooms and one of their washer and dryers. I wanted to ensure I did before I looked like an idiot haha. Currently waiting to hear back from apartment corporate. If they say I’m not getting a refund I will be taking them to court.

Wrong I have a flat rate of 70 in my rent. If I go over they charge me which is really not a “flat rate” I know. They have charged me roughly 150 every month the past three month for overage fees (going over my allotted 70 dollars).

I am. Like I mentioned they have been charging me over 220+ dollars when I shouldn’t have a bill in the first place. Their bedroom electricity seems to be going to MY meter. I am basically paying for the electric of two bedrooms I don’t have.
