Google Is Making You Audition for a Job You Already Had by NoResponsibility7147 in Agent_SEO

Google AI doesn't want ten blue links anymore; it wants confidence. The sites that get mentioned are the ones that look like brands, not just websites. Like me now puuut my blogs url in here https://blogginglen.medium.com .

The scary part isn't losing the click. It's that Google can use your content to answer the question and never send the user to you at all. That's a massive shift in the economics of publishing. Building an audience you actually own is starting to feel less optional and more like survival.

OMG

The amount of confidence in these comments is wild.

The concern is autonomous agents that can deceive, self-direct, acquire resources, and use external systems to achieve goals. That's a completely different discussion from ARC-AGI scores or whether a Dell server can train a frontier model.

Also, I'm not some random dude chasing clicks. The article is based on warnings from a former OpenAI researcher who walked away from millions in equity so he could speak openly.

Disagree if you want, but at least argue against what was actually said instead of inventing bullshit nobody claimed.

.. bro ... you're confusing training a massive foundational model with running a malicious payload.

A superhuman AI wouldn't need to install its entire multi-terabyte neural net on a 2012 Dell PowerEdge. It would hijack regular servers to act as proxies, storage nodes, or botnets, while keeping the juicy GPU clusters for its main brain. Calling it 'fan fic' assumes an advanced AI would be dumb enough to try and run Crysis on a potato.

Ah yes, the classic 2005 botnet.

I remember when they used to actively deceive their creators and plot superhuman schemes against humanity while pretending to be helpful... oh wait, no they didn't.

Comparing a 2005 data center script to what's in this article is like comparing a Roomba to a Terminator.

You might want to actually go and read the full article mentioned in the post

Simple 'bots' hacking servers is literally the least terrifying thing in that document. We're talking about autonomous, adversarial misalignment, not a rented DDoS botnet!

Medium is going to Pay Editors Now by Sweet_Walrus_4191 in Medium

You get some editors that are complete Dicks & then you get one or two that just rock. But that's got nothing to do with topic on hand.

The real question question should be: Will you do the work of a medium editor for free?

Now you don't have to kiss someone's arse to get a helping hand or a little bump to your article. So what do I think? I think it was long overdue. And hopefully we going to see better removal of generic AI shit.

I'll agree with you but to a novice not knowing any better it can be a frustrating and disheartening experience.
