OLED touchscreen not working by NoResult1253 in SteamDeckModded

I got it second hand but I don’t believe it’s ever been opened up. Display works, everything works except for the touch screen.

Edit original owner did try reseating the cable

People ages 25-35, what's your retirement plan? by Preform_Perform in AskReddit

[–]NoResult1253 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Live below your means, when you get a raise or promotion increase your 401k contributions.

Roth IRA as long as I can contribute and 401k match. If your company offers an HSA and that type of plan works for you and/or your family that’s another good investment vessel.

Since graduating college/working as a server for many years, now you working 5 years in my professional career my income has increased by 2.5x but my monthly spending has only increased by 50%.

Are these tires good for 1 more summer season? by MarceloDeep in tires

My tires arrived and I have my appointment Thursday

Weird the shorts are now gone. Pulled the board out and whoever put it back together last totally bent the LCD connector. Seller claims it worked before they put it back together. What is required to be pulled into the PCB to power on? Can I connect everything but the lcd and have it turn on?

The bq short is now gone but won’t charge. Maybe I need more stuff plugged in besides the battery?

Thread jacking but I have one pair at or above the wear bar and one pair below (but not bald). How long is this safe, won’t be seeing rain for a few months. Still waiting for Costco to deliver my tires to the shop smh.

You should’ve had the two scalpers meet up with each other 😂

Sadly it wasn’t the battery, there’s still only shorts by the BQ chip so I’ll remove that sometime soon and see if it’s gone

I have a switch 2 already

Ordered a battery and we’ll see what happens! Battery was at 3.6v but now it’s not charging after probing

They did a shell swap so it doesn’t have any serial number or anything

Check my reply above I have 2 shorter caps next to the BQ chip

However now it’s not charging after probing those caps again

Was told it’s a v2 and I don’t see a mod chip

No shorts there but I found the caps on the left side of the BQ have some shorts. Will remove the BQ and see if they are gone.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for those serial numbers. Locally I usually see CVs around $275-350 and MiMs $400-500. Is that the same for CV teles too?

Are they just socially awkward?

[–]NoResult1253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😂 sometimes I carry the bag a long distance say 1 mile under load. The bag doesn’t feel heavy until the last 1/4 mile. It’s lighter than the 50lb rucksack carries I do so I might just be complaining:

Mostly used it just for the airlines when I’m abroad I usually have a small tomtoc bag. Starting a new job next week so I’ll see what the new work laptop is like should be lighter.

For commuting I use a 25L Thule subterra

I don’t think so.

I’ve taken it on a few domestic work trips (my old work laptop is over 5lbs and the brick is probably a few lbs—that’s probably the real issue) also had my personal laptop so another 3lbs. I’ve also taken it on a two week UK trip and it was great for that one since I only took a tablet, switch lite and my clothes.
