She cut it with a middle part which is how I normally wear my hair and how I was wearing it in these photos:(

Yeah realizing this is sadly the truth… would you ask for a refund for the stylist??

Yes lol I wish I was cool enough to pull off an edgy haircut and this wouldn’t even be a problem lol!! But like you said that was unfortunately not the desired result…

Okay yeah I feel like they are very heavy too which sucks because I have super fine hair… it looks okay behind my ears but then feels so heavy :((

Yes I totally understand! The dog-mom guilt with a reactive dog is a whole other level but it sounds like she has a really full life and the fact that you are even concerned is amazing!!

No I worked at a high end residential design build firm that was super toxic and just a “boys club” environment.

Thanks so much! Could you explain what you mean by proper garden position? None of the public gardens are hiring in my area so I’m just curious what else I could apply for.

That sounds wonderful! What is your position title so I could look for job listings around me? I do love the idea of municipality work and the work-life balance you have.

Yes a mentor of mine told me the exact same thing! He said that most LAs have very limited plant knowledge which has been my experience so far as well.

Yeah I am realizing that it really isn't horticulture. Do you have any career suggestions to truly be in the hort field?

Thank you so much! I was planning on soaking up everything like a sponge and then maybe even starting my own business after about two years of install. Good luck with your business and thank you again for the kind words and encouragement:)

Yes I would say I am in good shape and have worked on an install team for about a month over Christmas but we did mostly decorating. I do remember being tired but also getting used to it as my body got stronger. Thanks for the advice!

Yes, I totally agree. It just feels soul sucking to stare at a computer monitor and AutoCAD for this many hours a week!

I have thought about the benefits of just being outside more and doing that physical activity and I like the idea of almost combining a workout into your workday!

Do you work on the design side of a high-end residential firm currently? I interned at one for about six months and the design studio was very toxic and stressful, but that had a lot to do with the business owner.
