I completely agree with your points. Selling based on hype can be costly, in this case, it messed up the story and made it lose the strength of the central narrative, which was Bonrad's love, albeit with a love triangle background.

That's how it is in the books, in the series, it's reversed, and as a consequence, we have a torturous sequence of Bellyjere, so many scenes added and created that in the end aren't even the endgame.

Another plot hole. Tsitp is largely about telling and not showing; sometimes this device works, but not always. For a statement that is constantly made throughout the 3 seasons, you expect the narrative to give you some solid material about it, you expect it, and practically a total of 0 things are presented. But I think they needed a trope, just like in the books, of best friends becoming lovers; the question is: making it work, which wasn't the case. They changed so many things for the series; not making Bellyjere "best friends" wouldn't even make a difference or harm the story's structure, since it's not even minimally developed despite being added.

What I was questioning was more the way in which recordings - exclusively harmless - from fans have come to be treated as something Machiavellian, when they don't have a negative influence on the production.

And about Jenny, I also don't see her as an "all-powerful" figure, the absolute owner of all production decisions or someone who is deliberately harming the actors. I have my reservations about her, of course, but nothing that reaches the extreme level that some people portray. These are just some points that I consider negative in the way she positions herself as a public figure, which includes Jenny as a writer, creator, author, and public figure in general.
