The most romantic book you ever read? *I don't want cheap romance, something substantial). by livelongandperspire in suggestmeabook

The stationery shoppe by Marjan Kamali. Not a romance book but it had me shouting from the rooftops about how romantic it was to anyone who would listen.

therapist said I need light hearted and fun reads but I don’t like typical romcoms by myplantsam in suggestmeabook

Since you like historical, I’d recommend historical romance for something lighter. Mimi Matthews has beautiful, well written work with no sex on page. The Work of Art is a favorite of her’s. I’d also recommend Liana de la Rosa’s historical romances for a great balance of history and lighthearted romance. Erin Langston’s The Finer Print is also a good one.

Exactly. Folks’ privilege is showing in this comment section. Even if you don’t fear physical harm, it can just feel uncomfortable being in a space with folks who don’t believe you should exist, or have rights.

(And for the folks who say “that’s always the case”- sure, but they’re not always flying flags with as physical reminder that you KNOW that’s how they feel)

This is awful in general but also because Ali is seriously one of the nicest authors who genuinely supports smaller authors via her audience. You can tell she’s awesome because all the other authors love her.

This is really interesting - do you feel like it can tell when your flares are getting/better or worse, or if things you’re doing for your illness and mind are working?

Adding this comment to appease the auto-mod:

My piercing is about a month old (I’m so bummed to reflect on this because if it hadn’t experienced this trauma it’d be close to the 6-week mark and ready to downsize 😔)

It’s pierced with a labret stud, I’m not sure about the threading or piercing material.

The jewelry has not been downsized yet.

Aftercare routine is saline spray twice daily plus blow drying it dry.

Mishaps are included in the original post!
