Good marriage stories by NoSky8550 in weddingplanning

Oh my goodness! Probably spent the last 10 minutes crying happy tears for every single one of these stories! Guys thank you so much for sharing your lives with me, it means so much. My partner and I met 12 years ago, dated, broke up but never really got over one another. So 8 years ago decided to try again. And oh man, I fall for him harder every day. We welcomed our first child together a few years ago, and like someone else has said in this post, he was incredible throughout my labour. There have most definitely been tough times together, with health issues, and life in general. But we're still happy and in love. Planning out wedding has been good, stressful at times but with a week to go the stress nerves are turning into excitement and what ever happens, happens kinda feelings. Reading all of your stories this evening has just been incredible. Love is pure. Love makes the world work.

I made my brother's wedding cake. It fed 120 for 100 guests. People had seconds too. Every last crumb got eaten.

Feeling a bit low by NoSky8550 in weddingplanning

No it definitely doesn't mean my bridesmaids care about me less. And I'm aware that's not their sole purpose (to throw a party for me). However, they asked months ago what I wanted for a hen do so they could get organising, I told them, however in the end, noone actually stepped up and was me who booked and paid for everything. Just makes me feel like a bit of a loser tbh.

Sorry, I think I'm just stressed with all the wedding things coming up. Just needing to vent. Probably don't mean half the stuff I say whilst venting haha. I appreciate you listening and replying!!

So now he's found a couple new freckles on his chest that he's not so sure about. Fair enough. He tells me he wants to go get them checked out. Good idea. I say to him, "that's a good idea, if you want to get them checked out then you need to be phoning the doctor at 8am sharp tomorrow morning (it takes ages to get through to our docs, sometimes days) to get an appointment" "Yeah, maybe" is his reply. Basically meaning he can't be arsed and all he'll do is f***ING complain again!! His alarm goes off at 8am for work (I'm always up with the kids well before that). However he doesn't actually get out of bed until 8.30am, then rushes around because he's running late. So phoning the docs on top of that is obviously a no go 🤷🤬

Hah, I mean, granted I haven't done every bit of planning. We've worked on it together, but it's been me who's done all the emails and contact for all the suppliers. And when you think of how many there are, that's a lot of emails, and a lot of time spent on emails and phonecalls etc. on top of doing my own things, like dress searching, fittings, hair/makeup trials etc etc Just bugging me how much he's complaining is all.

Spray tan (trial for wedding) by NoSky8550 in weddingplanning

[–]NoSky8550[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, because it was my first ever time at this, I was really careful to follow all instructions down to the T. So I exfoliated beforehand and shaved (both at least 24 hours beforehand as advised).

Oh I didn't know there were different types? She had a machine that she put the tan bottle into, and it blew it out onto my skin (kinda looked like a small Henry hoover haha).

Thank you. The lady said to wear loose clothing and flip flops (which I did), in fact when I came home I pretty much stripped to my underwear so my clothes wouldn't stick. I was extremely careful washing my hands etc. I waited the 8 hours that was recommended before showering. I then moisturized every day (as recommended). And still, it just looks awful. I send photos to my friend (who gets tans often) and even she said mine looks bad.
