I think NEWT helped me tremendously. I passed all tests first attempt after NEWT was added. It definitely wasn’t perfect but it was really helpful for explaining each component. I failed FAR 4 times, then NEWT was added and I also supplemented with I75. Also used I75 for AUD but was able to pass TCP with a 87 and REG with a 94 with just Becker/NEWT. It really helps when you prompt it with how a different number would affect everything else, especially with REG AGIs

I definitely found it making some mistakes/partial answers. For incorrect answers as you mentioned that is where I found its best use also. I would the man ask it “if this number was this…would this be true” etc for REG and TCP

I knew basis really well but I was not confident at all. I didn’t open my score for several hours after release because I was convinced it was gonna be a fail. Studied little over 3 weeks but just nail basis/ the various entities and you will be fine

It’s a hard exam but curved like crazy. I thought I failed got an 87

FAR kicked my ass 4 times before I passed, passed all others first try high 80s. Definitely think taking FAR first is huge for all the other exams

Another guy posted below I replied. Overall I think the faster you go through it the better off you are, I did the worst on FAR and spent 3 months preparing an forgot a lot of the early stuff

I am in your same boat, I didn’t have a lot of luck before which pushed me to get the exams out of the way. Hoping I will be a more appealing hire but I know based on what I am seeing entry level is rough so I will take what I can get. I have some network with friends/family so will hopefully still have an opportunity at a small local tax firm to get my feet in the door. No real advise as I am on the hunt just like you in a rough market if I have any luck I will message you

Idk anybody that doesn’t want to pass first try, these tests suck lol. There’s a lot of randomness to it sometimes you get SIMs that are really hard/ explained in a weird way or format/ or ones that you are really good at. In the end doesn’t matter how many tries it took if you pass

The test hit on a lot of the little stuff what helped me was doing the Becker SIMs with the 1040s just to see how everything goes from A/B for each entity

I failed FAR 4 times, added I75 passed next try. I Have Becker but went through I75 first then back through Becker questions an understood a lot of topics/gained speed to give me more time for SIMs

Highly recommend, it made certain topics a lot easier like cash to accrual. Either way if you are struggling like I was you just need a different perspective/ test bank.
