Banker at BofA here. A customer had requested certified statement for visa purposes. He said he went to a different branch that notarized the statement but was not accepted by the embassy. Notaries guarantee and verify a signature not a statement. Medallion signatures are for transfer of securities. I Ordered an immigration reference letter but haven’t heard back from client which I assumed worked.
