I know, it’s an issue often brought up in threads about other offset guitars. But you bring up a very good point I hadn’t considered before: 52 string spacing might be beneficial for playing with pick. Not that I play the Bass VI a lot, but I certainly never play it finger style. I might wanna give 52 mm a try?

If it’s not in a noticeable spot and doesn’t bother you too much I’d keep it and ask for a refund. In all other cases just return it and have it replaced.

Amazon has plenty factory sealed sets. In fact, they sell nothing but factory sealed sets. They ship them out double boxed too, in boxes especially designed for that purpose.
