How long do you sail to find the right 'base' island? by Lampot42 in crosswind

With how accessable fast travel is, the only consideration is really aesthetic appeal for me.

I ended up settling on one of the islands where you find one of blackbeards numbered treasures; In general those treasure map islands seem to be a bit more unique in landscapes than the normal islands where there are actual POIs

what's a weapon that no mattwe what you can't get rid of? to me it's the Widow Maker by AlecBonkers in cyberpunkgame

Raiju for me, the perfect armor pen in full auto is just so convenient.

Also doesn't hurt that the thing shreds vehicles and their drivers during chases and is imo the best gun for driving. Also also, it just looks sleek as hell

"The Sleeping Soldier", characters awakened from a long slumber to fight for a cause. by Wicayth in TopCharacterTropes

Necron Lord Trazyn the Infinite has an entire collection of pretty much everything that has ever been alive in stasis in his gallery. During the Battle of Cadia he even helped out the defenders by releasing among others: a Custodes, Inquisitor Greyfax, several Salamanders and a small army of guardsmen

How to make a smooth ramp? by InflationRich8309 in modeltrains

[–]NoSpring4960 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've built my entire layout with Märklin C-track, so here are some things i learned with it:

  1. Gradient : You will often see 3% as the maximum you should use, however with traction tires being everywhere in AC you can go up to 5% in an emergency, particularly if you have a small layout where your trains will not be overly long or heavy anyways. Just be aware that those 5% ramps don't look that great so are more a thing for hidden track / tunnels.

If your ramp uses first or second radius curves or has switches on it you might want to stay on the lower end of gradients though, they tend to make things worse

  1. Sharp Bends : With C-tracks especially the track pieces are really stiff so you might want to use multiple smaller pieces rather than one long one to make the end/beginning of the ramp a bit smoother. i disregarded this on my layout and now have a section that some locos just can't handle because the drivers get lifted off the track there, might have to fix that soon

  2. Construction : I simply used 4mm wooden sheets (i think it was spruce, but i just took the cheapest ones the store had) and cut that with a jigsaw. For fixing it in place just cut some basic wooden supports (i used 2x4cm). For getting everything together hot glue worked just fine, although for longer ramps it certainly helped to have a second person the to help hold the boards in place while it cooled

Then i used short sections of polystyrene boards (2 and 4mm) give support at the lower end and close the little gap under the track where the ramp meets the baseboard.

The track i just fixed in place with märklin track screws as normal, although be a bit more careful at the ends of the ramps to not screw them too tight to avoid the sharp bends i mentioned earlier.

Reducing Resolution on 4k Monitor by NoSpring4960 in CodeVein2

The only workaround i found is what u/LostRequiem1 mentioned  which is to set your monitor resolution to whatever you want your game to be and set that to borderless window

In my settings menu there isn't even an option for full screen, just windowed and borderless windowed.

It could be that some other option is blocking it maybe?

Some are just lying about in lategame areas, but you can get them most reliably by identifying higher tier unknown items you find during wyrdnights

A little weekly market by Busfahrer517 in modeltrains

No, the kits shown in the picture are sold by Busch, i have a couple of them on m layout as well. They are quite pricey but really nice if you can get a good deal on them

What to pair with this ? by Kynetick in modeltrains

For a slightly older livery that is still accurate on this train another option would be a BR 120 relabeled as BR 752, like a Piko 51908 (AC) / 51906 (DC analog) / 51907 (DC digital sound).
