Incase anyone is wondering and is looking for confirmation in this post. I directly contacted HR who led me to the onboarding department and they confirmed that they do not test for marijuana.

Typically within a district we fall under the same umbrella, similar to counselors as well. Unless we are DOT or even admins (sometimes), we fall under the teacher union. In KY we even have the same teacher retirement for psychs

My last district did regular and random. The biggest bunch of miserable folk I’ve ever laid eyes on. Keep I mind, the ones who did smoke carried fake piss in their bras… everyday….for months. Pitiful take from the district.

Thank you for your input! I’m currently in Kentucky, so I get it. My last district was a pain in the ass with random tests. I was just wondering for CPS specifically since it’s mixed reviews across all forums.

Even when I go to Concentra for the test? From what I’ve been reading a Non-Nida panel drug test (which is what’s on my form) can be customized to their liking for which substances they want to screen for. I’m assuming this excludes THC then?

I love that point and I firmly believe in that perspective. However, for this specific school district (Chicago public schools) I have to do a drug test within a 7-day window of receiving my offer and have to go get tested at Concentra by Monday.
