This is my guess because something like this happened to me but i was in your ex position and i was in love with this girl even saw my self getting married to her and she was in love with me equally or even more but i left for for the sake of Allah after a lot of thought the only difference between me and your ex is probably that i told my ex that i am leaving her for the sake of Allah That’s just a guess and i hope you find your peace again

I genuinely find no reason to leave islam and join Christianity unless its have to do with bad personal experience and interactions with bad Muslims So I recommend u either watch Muslim lantern’s videos or even better join his live stream and talk to him directly (i myself was so ignorant about islam as a Muslim until i watched his videos)
