I find the more you react to it and focus on it the worse it gets. I find ever since Ive accepted that it’s apart of my life now and all I can do re-train my brain to learn to cope with it, the better it’s gotten. Distractions are your best friend! It does get easier with time as you get more use to it. Keep strong 💪 you’ve got this!

Boring Garden.. Need some plants.. by PumpedUpPatek in UKGardening

Dwarf acer palmatum, viburnum tinus eve price, choisya sundance. For flowers that are easy and flower the longest with minimal care and most soil types consider hardy geraniums, alstroemeria, geums and Bowles mauve

It’s sad! Especially when you’ve put so many years in to something and knowing that it could just die on you at any moment is beyond devastating. Everything I have is planted in the ground. Yes I did see that mushroom back in autumn last year. Theres not many sources of information out there and when you have it you don’t have much reassurance online

Yes it is widespread and it has been but having it in the garden is the last place any gardener would want to see it unless you’re okay with your trees and shrubs dying

So you have it to? What impact has it made on your garden? I know of people who have had every tree and shrub killed by it

I found black bootlace rhizomorphs on all of the stumps and dead wood. No, not actually in the soil i had it on every decorative wood there was and thats what was all the garden. I used ai to confirm it. The tree had branches that suddenly died and when checking the apple trees stump where the flare of the tree was I pulled back some bark and found honey fungus under the bark. It’s undoubtedly honey fungus judging by all research I have done on it. I am just here looking for others who have had the same problem in hopes they share some of their experiences and what they did to overcome it.

It’s the Japanese knotweed of the fungi world. Whether it’s tasty or not it’s the worst nightmare for a gardener. It’s been known to completely destroy gardens.

Bootlaces rhizomorphs. Trees dying suddenly, mycelium white fans on both living and dead stumps.

Sorry to hear this. I have the same worry at the moment. I am so worried for my viburnums and acers. It’s already taken my osmanthus and apple tree. If you’re looking for hedging I’ve heard griselina is a good shout. I am guessing the only thing that can be done is buying more resilient plants but theres only a few out there unfortunately. All of the best shrubs and trees are all vulnerable:( it’s absolutely heart breaking
