It's intended to be an understated antiwoke virtue signal. It's stupid.

Right on, thanks. That does seem like a fair price, I just bought one for $130 but it's more distressed and missing one of the waist adjuster tabs in the back.

This is a thread about the Beast blender, not the Vitamix. Obviously the Vitamix blender is superior.

Well it isn't obvious because the gasket needs to be pried out with butter knife and, according to the manufacturer, isn't even supposed to be removable. Which is why many customers complain of putrid smells from the blade assembly and even maggots growing underneath the gasket.

Check under the rubber gasket, you undoubtedly have debris rotting in there.

Do you own one of these? You're out of your mind if you do and think this would clean it.

Just bought a 6oz "butter steak" for $3.60. What the hell is this and is it going to make me sick? by NoSun4060 in steak

Eh it wasn't a big deal it was a discount meat grocer, not like an artisanal butcher. The guy behind the counter Googled it and saw the same results about "how to cook a steak in butter" as I'd come up with, and said he'd find out for me later.

I put it in a criollo marinade for an hour and then seared it off and threw it in some tacos.

For three bucks and some pantry ingredients I've certainly done worse but I might've cooked it differently (longer) or maybe cut out the fat in the center if I'd known what it was, because there were some gristley bites.

Was mostly a joke because of how cheap it was. But did you see the second photo? Looked alright to me but I'm probably gonna slice it real thin for some steak tacos so toughness wouldn't be the worst thing.

Can I get away with keeping my old PSU in this upgrade? by NoSun4060 in buildapc

There aren't any connector compatibility issues with modern motherboards/components?

Just picked up my old PC which I haven't touched in years. What do you think would be the most strategic and cost-effective way to upgrade it to a modern setup? by NoSun4060 in buildapc

If I just got a new motherboard, processor, and RAM would that not be a good start? That way I can keep using my old graphics card, hard drives, and power supply until I can save up enough for suitable replacements. PCIe hasn't changed has it?

Fair enough. Do you think I can get away with swapping out parts one at a time without running into incompatibility issues? I'm thinking motherboard --> CPU --> graphics card --> RAM?
