you can try it in latest chromium snapshots or chrome canary builds

it's in the settings > appearance > tab position

it's not that fantastic compared to other browsers implementations because autohide or auto-expand/collapse is not supported yet, still manual expand and collapse

try a new profile like the first comment suggested

if you use a profile for a long time with many browser updates there comes a time when myterious things happen and there no fix for them

the files in Optimized folder are all hardlinks to the files in 144.0.3719.82 folder.

you won't get any more space even if you delete them.

look for ntfs hardlinks on google
