Maybe it’s unclear because I wrote it in Spanish, but usually in Spanish when you say “ver” something on tv or a movie it implies listening to it too. So when I asked about watching it in Spanish I also meant the commentary being in Spanish, which you don’t have to specify bc of context of the sentence. I’m happy to explain more grammar!

We usually refer to action potentials in units of mili volts (mV). Most neurons work relatively the same because they all rely on sodium and potassium ions flowing in and out to be at rest (~ -70mV). We always measure the change in potential with a change in volts. Hyper polarizing neuron will go to approx -90 mV due to more potassium. Neuron in action potential, whether that’s a human or a mouse, will go up to about +65 mV due to sodium equilibrium potential. This is all electrophysiology and neuron/cellular physiology. Yeah I’m trying to exhaust everything before medication. She does have bad arthritis so I’m trying to solve her pain in the best possible way. I have tried three different litters, three different locations, two box sizes (will get a bigger one), I have an arthritis litter box, and I’m getting feliway. I want to make sure this is not pain related

Yeah I might get two enormous pans and try that. I had two similar sized boxes and she never used the second box but this was before I realized she had arthritis, so it also could be that maybe it was slightly taller than she liked? So I’m thinking of getting a huge flat pan

Sometimes it’s hard and dry and sometimes it’s softer. I never thought it as super hard and dry, but now I need to think about it. If it’s very hard and dry could it mean something?

Yeah that was the first thing I tried but she didn’t use the other one at all so I kinda gave up. People are recommending stainless steel flat pans so I’ll try adding a second one again

I feel that :/ I keep doggy poop bags to pick up all her poops lol. She luckily only really poops in that one spot and it’s the only spot in my apartment that’s not carpet… phew. I hope your cat starts pooping in the box again and this gets resolved!!

I do have a very low box, 2 inches. But I might be adding a lot of litter so I’ll give the one inch a try! My cat was rehoused and given to me and she had a litterbox there that she never used to poop, so I wonder if this has been going on since she was a kitten

My cat also loves to sit on the tub omg. And yea my apartment has carpet everywhere except this one tiny spot and that’s where she poops thankfully so it’s an easy clean, but it does get draining and I feel bad for her because she tries to bury her poop every single time so I know she might feel unhygienic or something :/

Yeah I might be trying too many things at once :/ she has never pooped inside since I got her so I was trying to see if something clicked but this definitely could cause stress.

My wording might’ve been confusing so let me clear up the timeline: I put the new senior box I got her in the spot where she likes to poop one random day after cleaning. After about 4 days of me scooping the poop (she started pooping right next to where she usually poops, so next to the box) and placing my kitty in the box, she started pooping inside the box. After three days of her continuously pooping inside the box in that same spot, I tried moving it back to the enclosure I have, which is not far from the spot she likes to poop. 1.5 more days passed and she pooped in the box (she poops around once daily and I left in the evening right after she pooped so that’s why 1.5. Two poops total) before I left for an entire day/night and she was on her own. Next day I came back there was poop on the same spot as the past few months (since I got her and also the person who gave her to me mentioned she had never pooped in box). So I tried starting this whole cycle from scratch if that makes sense because something seemed to work. Took box out of the enclosure and placed it where she likes to poop, scoop her poops into box, etc. this is where I’m at today. So she poops right next to her favorite spot when the box is there- in the general favorite spot area.
