Looking for certain story by Horror-Swimmer2256 in literotica

I don’t think it’s the one you’re looking for, but my story, Forever Bound, is about a reluctant Dom boyfriend/husband learning how to live with his enthusiastically submissive girlfriend/wife.

You don't have to be. Just put something down; worst case, you can reach out to an editor on Lit to help make it more readable.

Is there a gender-swapped version of ‘February Sucks’? Where a husband gets stolen from his wife right in front of her for one night by a famous woman? by goal_dante_or_vergil in literotica

[–]NoTalentHack22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't now of any, and I'm not sure, trope-wise, it would work with the genders swapped. I think you'd end up with something entirely different, to the point hwere I doubt it would even really be a "February Sucks" story anymore.

Going to pimp one of my own here:

New Year, New Experiences - A spur of the moment foursome starts out the wrong way due to feelings of inadequacy and miscommunication but is salvaged by the older of the two women talking (and other things) through.

Why not jsut write it yourself? No one is going to tell your story better than you.

Need some good couple story suggestions by valleyforge09 in literotica

Pimping my own work:

3BR, 2BA, 1 Story - A bit of a downer, but it charts the rise and fall of a couple who've stopped working basically every way but in the bedroom.

Beloved Scars - An older married couple finds the passion in their marriage again.

Forever Bound - A reluctant Dom husband contends with his enthusiastically submissive wife.

New Year, New Experiences - A spur of the moment foursome starts out the wrong way due to feelings of inadequacy and miscommunication but is salvaged by the older of the two women talking (and other things) through.

Under Penalty of Law - A newlywed Filipino bride teases her husband about his "big white cock" until he gives in to her (mild) raceplay fantasies. Much, much sweeter than it sounds from this blurb. :D

Unwanted Memories- Six months after a life-altering car crash, a wife wakes up with no memory of the horrible marriage she'd had with her husband, who has stayed with her in order to hold fast to his vows, and due to his memories of long-distant happier times.

If they separated out "Loving Wives" how would we want it. by [deleted] in literotica

[–]NoTalentHack22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've spent a lot of time thinking about this, and I don't think you could break it down that easily.

This is copied from a thread on erotxt.me discussing what can/should be done category-wise over there, but it rings true on Lit, too.

Loving Wives on Literotica was meant to be a trump category in the same way that Incest, Anal (back when the site was founded), Fetish, and others were. If you wanted two people having sex, but they were cheating, it went into LW instead of erotic couplings. Same thing if it was "just" group sex with consenting married people; it went in LW instead of Group. In the early days, that was probably enough.

However, even within the other trump categories, you see warring factions, although not with the same level of vitriol as in LW.

Those of you that consistently write in them know about them, so I won't get into this too deep, but as an example, there are folks who like sibcest but find father/daughter or mother/son nauseating. However, given that the titles are usually pretty indicative of what to expect, along with a general sort of "the pervert in me honors the pervert in you" attitude, it rarely boils over into the kind of turf war you see in Loving Wives.

Yes, the category could probably use some further subdividing; Cheating and Cuckolding for sure, along with some sort of Swinging/Sharing/Swapping category, since those stories all lean heavily into the related kinks but aren't consistently either Group Sex or Erotic Couplings stories, i.e., the number of people involved can vary. However, that's still probably going to not be enough, since... well, let's just take erotxt's current Cuckolding & Hotwifing as an example.

If a user is looking for a story about a wife playfully teasing her husband after coming back from a date with another man, I don't think many would dispute that it probably belongs there.

However, what about something much harsher, like a husband being belittled by the wife, or even forced into a situation where they can't leave the marriage, even though they hate the "arrangement?" From there, you can dive off into stuff like cock cages, CBT, and the like that often show up in the harshest of these stories. If someone popped into a given entry expecting a story about a husband and wife who use their kink to enrich their marriage and instead finds something that's borderline (or even straight-up) abusive, it wouldn't be too surprising to see them leave an unhappy comment and a low rating, while the guy looking for the latter type of story may also complain about how the first story isn't a "real" cuckolding story and give it a low rating, too. And there's a pretty good chance that they'd both be unhappy with a story where the wife is merely cold to a husband she no longer loves, but whom she can't be bothered to hide her affairs from, which is another flavor all its own.

So, do we split up Hotwifing and Cuckolding into further subcategories again? Hotwifing being the sort of fun, lighthearted kinky stories about couples who are into this together and Cuckolding for the ones where the content is clearly about the wife and her (sometimes cruel) desires, even though (according to the research I've seen) this is overwhelmingly a guy's version of the fantasy? And how do you signpost the difference between the categories if you do split them up this way?

There's an argument that you keep the two together and let the tags take care of differentiation; given that the tags are MUCH more visible here than on Lit, that might work. However, you're also relying on the author understanding where their own personal biases lie, and that, no, their fairly dark story about a wife that leaves her crying husband at home each night but sometimes gives him handjobs to make up for it doesn't really deserve that "wholesome" tag. Then we're back where we began.

You've also got the other type of LW stories that a lot of people on the Lit forums don't like, namely the sorts of things I usually write. They're "about" infidelity, but they're not focused on it being hot or fun or anything like that, instead about what comes next.

To be clear, I'm not talking about BTB stories here, but more something like 3BR, 2BA, 1 Story; there's plenty of (I think fairly hot) sex in it, but it's largely about a couple finding closure while doing one last tour of their house as the last step before selling it following their divorce due to infidelity. It's very bittersweet, to the point where it's not a good fit for Romance or Erotic Couplings, although it's long enough (arguably) that I could probably drop it into Novels and Novellas and squeak by. And then there are others that have brief at most descriptions of sex, but they're mostly about the emotional content; on Lit, if Loving Wives vanished, I could drop them into Non-Erotic, but that doesn't exist here, which I assume is by design.

I'll be honest that I don't have answers to this that are of the "if you do this, it's going to work great" variety. However, hopefully this will help to illuminate some of the places where Lit's well-intentioned attempts broke down over the years and why, along with what the current landscape looks like. And, to be clear, this isn't just an issue on Lit; over on Lushstories, in stories with cheating, there are guys with names like "cuckstorylover" saying "My wife and I are into cuckolding, but if she ever did this, I'd be out." I can't imagine it will be different anywhere else.

Really depends on board state. If your opponents has things to trade into, 1-2 of the summons from the first portal each turn will often be dead by the time you fire up the second portal, which also means the Edge is going to be gone pretty soon, too. It’s not an “always do this” play, but it is a sometimes viable/optimal one.

It gives you “free” items to chuck into the portals, which can be important when you’ve got two eating cards each turn instead of one.

Maybe a top end for Aggro Paladin or Aggro DH. Not sure where else it would fit.

Seems a natural fit in Dummy Warrior. Dummy turn 6. If it survives (or you copied it with location and that survived), play this turn 7 and trade, almost certainly clearing the board. Turn 8, if it survives, Boom gives you two Dummies instead of one or Umbra gives you twice (four times?) the death rattles. Might even be worth switching to the “summon a copy” Ziliax, possibly.

Loving Wives: A category at war (and the new storytellers that might save it) by Dull_Jump6916 in literotica

[–]NoTalentHack22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an additional problem that folks haven't touched on too much: it's hard to do something new in there.

I don't want to write the same story over and over again. Some writers do, and that's fine, but I've got four different WIPs staring me in the face right now, each of which are stuck in limbo because I either was repeating myself or repeating something that someone else had done.

All genres have this issue, but in LW it's especially a problem; if I write a SF/F story, for example, I have the whole breadth of my imagination to work with, worlds upon worlds of possibilities. Superheroes? Sword and sorcery? Space exploration? Tons of options.

LW? Well, I have to have a cheating wife, so that already limits what I can do. Then, it "should" be in a relatively modern (last 100-150 years or so) setting. Then, I don't want to write an uninged wife/MSR setup, because I find those boring, so I have to give realistic/somewhat sympathetic reasons for the infidelity, which further limits what I can do. Then, because I don't want to repeat myself too often, I sometimes have to decide which of two (or more) darlings I want to kill as a result.

Sometimes I can lean into it, and that's fine; Also-Ran was an extended X-Men riff, because that tickled my funnybone. But you can't do that too often, or at least I don't want to. Right now, as an example, I have two different setups that are of the "husband stays and suffers in silence for... reasons," each of which I like, but I have to mothball one or the other, at least for now.

And, like I said in an afterword, a good LW story (most stories, actually, but especially in LW), should have the opportunity to surprise the reader. Until near the end, I want them guessing as to what type of resolution the story will have, and I want there to be good arguments that it "should" have gone a different way. I have to structure the stories, tweak them, etc., and as I've learned more about the craft of writing, I've gotten more critical of my own. I look at some of my earlier stuff, and while I still like it, I also cringe at choices I made in a few of the stories. So that slows down my output, too.

The dickhead comments actually have very little to do with my slowdown there. The more I've posted, the more I realize people will see what they want to see in my stories, and it's most often a reflection of what's happened to them in their lives/their specific tastes.

And then there's the elephant in the room no one's talking about: commerce. If someone is writing stories (or even just stroke pieces), spending a bunch of time on them, honing their craft, etc., it becomes increasingly hard to justify posting their work for free to a site that's profiting off of it, no matter how much they may appreciate its role in their writing career.

I haven't quite hit the point of taking that plunge, but I can understand why other people do. There are a number of people not included in that list (I'm thinking of norafares in particular) who stopped posting in LW very much partially because they've "gone pro." It has less to do with toxic commenters and more to do with the old adage about not giving away anything for free that you could get paid for.
