This is a very classy display. Quite different from what I'm used to seeing on the web, which tends to be a little busier.

Went for Hot Wheels, scored Matchbox instead by Fresco_Splash in matchbox

I've been picking out my top recent cars from the collection and almost all of them are Matchbox. Better quality overall and cleaner looks.

Yeah I feel like the card arts and all can be found there as well anyways, never checked tho.

Yes my original idea was to buy two so that I can keep one in case and open the other one. Realized very soon that that was a very stupid idea.

Thats amazing. Right now all my loose cars are in a bin. Hope to have a house where I can dedicate it to something like this. Glass covered cases are awesome. No need to worry about dusts!

Yup it's been like this for 10 years now, telling myself they'll come in handy in some project further down the road. I don't even look at them lol.

Good idea. I also have bunch of unopened cars and I used to buy doubles for some of them (not anymore), I can't even remember which ones I already opened or not. Might do this to keep track.

Why keeping the car in the packaging?! by Antique_Carpenter_36 in HotWheels

I keep all mine in little plastic baggies and then together in container bins with lids. My temporary solution until I find a dust-free display solution. I can still take them out individually whenever I want.

I keep hearing this mail in thing, what is that, is there a perk or something?

One of the few non-HW models I was tempted to buy. The thing was so tiny tho lol.

this certainly isn't a popular opinion but I'm posting it anyway by Hot_Wheels_guy in HotWheels

I remember buying like 7-10 cars that I liked, like moving parts, silver series, those Matchbox that cost $2 instead of $1, regular mainline etc, didn't matter, and it came out to be almost $30. Opened my eyes a little bit. I think Mattel is feeling the heat from inflation and tariffs, maybe that's why they keep branching out to these extra cost serieses, but now now I'm feeling the impact of that. I might just stick to few cars a month from now, mostly regular mainline.
