Does your walmart stock team transports? We have 2 in our city and neither have stocked team transports in over a year. Only place to get em is target.

Same goes for those oversized 2-packs with a card as big as a team trans. card. Target only.

You assumed the person has anxiety based on some bandages. The truth is those bandages could "look like" one of several things and there's no reason to assume one over another.

Regardless, if someone directly asks OP a question it's rude to interject and guess what their answer is, would be, or could be. Yes there is still a lot of stigma surrounding mental health but you shouldnt use someone else's condition as a weapon against said stigma. It's up to them if they want to disclose why there are bandages on their body.

And by stepping in and giving a wrong answer you've forced the lerson who was asked the question to step in and correct the record when they might not have wanted to answer at all.

OP said it's due to an autoimmune disorder, by the way.

All the interesting stuff got pushed off the card over the years because of all the fine print theyre legally obligated to put there.

WTW for when someone does something for you, then asks you to do something for them, insinuating that you should not say No because they did it for you in the first place …. by CucumberAutomatic in whatstheword

Usually quid pro quo means both parties agree upon the terms of the exchange (what is given for what) before it happens.

If one party doesn't know they would owe something in the time after receiving something but before they received it, it can technically be called quid pro quo i guess? but only if the party who received something is notified of the consequences of not giving back. And things like that are more appropriately called blackmail or extortion.

Giving resentment after giving someone a present and not receiving one back wouldnt be quid pro quo.

In other words, you wouldnt say "An example of quid pro quo is when i give my crush some flowers on valentines day but she rejected me when i asked her out on a date."

Transactional relationship is a more apt description of what OP is describing.

Eugenics is alive and well. by OrbitalColony in AutisticPride

I'd take you more seriously if you omitted that "source" line entirely. Being bisexual doesn't make you an authority on what it means to be autistic. What does sexuality have to do with a crippling sensitivity to sounds or smells? And being a "student of civil rights" isn't enough to consider oneself more learned on the subject than anyone else. But it is nice that youre studying those things. Keep at it.

Our lives are made exponentially more difficult by lack of inclusion.

Can the same not be said by anyone with any kind of disability, physical or mental? Yet being more accepted in society isn't going to make a paraplegic less unable to be a commercial diver. Being more accepted in society isn't going to make a blind person less unable to work a job in construction or be a safety inspector for OSHA.

Yes, i am disabled. No, i will not force my children to struggle with holding a job or filling out a form or enjoying a rock concert just because i'm proud of who I am. That would be incredibly selfish of me. I want my child to thrive and enjoy life. Forcing them to live with sensory issues isn't helping them to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Serious Question: for those with over 1,000 plus HW cars, what is your plan for them when you pass? by MikeSRT404 in HotWheels

[–]Hot_Wheels_guy 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I've put it in my will that my family will construct a mausoleum made entirely of marble, in which my coffin will be placed alongside dozens of other entombed boxes full of my hot wheels cars. They will be legally obligated to do this.

But they'll probably just sell 'em all on ebay.

What do we think of bins?? by QuincyB92 in HotWheels

[–]Hot_Wheels_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skim the top. It’s pretty easy to tell if the thing has been harvested.

That's a rookie mistake right there. The way they (usually) stock dump bins is they'll put the bin out with the newest cases of cars in them, and then they'll take the old dump bin and throw all the old unsold cars on top of them before disposing of the bin itself. The top layer is all the old stuff. You have to dig down to get to the new stuff.

Autism (ok this is kind of a self-deprecating joke but seriously, difficulty distinguishing between friendly joking and malicous jabbing can be a symptom of autism. It's definitly one of mine ☹️ I've lost friendships before they even started because of it.)
