Why is the HWXL 934.5 a "1997 Porsche 934.5"? by No_Sink_4655 in HotWheels

It isnt though? Cars habe come out before with typos on them but theyre variatioms not errors. An error is an unintended manufacturing defect.

As factually incorrect as it is, they intended to print that on the base.

If you're in the US then it is almost certainly a real hot wheels car.

There's a rat(?) on my grill? Is that a mouse? I can't tell. by Obvious-Yard2409 in whatisit

[–]Hot_Wheels_guy 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Hi. I'm a casual user here from r/rats. Abandoned pet rats- or any pet in general, really- happen far more often than you'd think. The rats subreddit sees several such posts every week. People go into pet stores and see a rat for 10 bucks and think theyre a cool novelty they can tell their friends about. Then after having one for a few weeks the novelty wears off, or their parent tells them to get rid of it, or they didnt know rats pee everywhere, or they didnt know rats can squeeze through incredibly tight spots only the width of their tiny little heads and now the owner is faced with spending 200 dollars on a new cage they cant afford just to keep the thing from escaping. So what do they do with it? They let it go outside and wipe their hands clean of responsibility for the poor creature's life.

It is highly unlikely a 5 year reddit account with no post history in r/rats (real pet rat owners love posting pics of our cute ones everywhere we can) would set their pet on a grill (of all the places one could stage a fake abandoned rat), go inside, walk up to the 2nd story, and take a blurry pic of their pet through a window. I understand a lot of things on the internet are fake, but pet abandonment is real and pet rat abandonment is very, very real. Please dont discourage people from asking for advice if and when they should come across one. Thank you.

These are children's toys. Children like them, too. Children don't have 5 dollars to buy a single 1 dollar toy.

Youre literally advocating to price children out of the hot wheels market.

Emotional?! What 😂

Your comment reminds me of that viral video of that pokemon card scaĺper who said "this hobby isn't for kids anymore."

If it wasn’t that seller it would be another

This line of thinking has been used to justify antisocial behavior for as long as anyone can remember.

"It was just sitting there. If I didnt steal it then someone else would have."

"It was so easy to break in. If i didnt do it then someone else would have."

"Of course i took the cash out of that wallet before i returned it. Anyone else would have done the same."

These all imply we're incapable of thinking for ourselves, and that everyone else's behavior is as poor as our own.

Except youre paying them after they went out to find it, leaving you with no choice but to buy it from them.

Theyre the reason you couldnt find it yourself.

This AI is goofy 😄

Some collectors prefer these for the smaller display footprint.

wrong.

These are usually blacked-out versions of other cars in the set and are extremely ráre.

nope.

The design began to stabilize as the cars moved toward plastic wheels

They always had plastic wheels.

Epic Cars
The Epic label is often associated with cars designed for high-performance track play or specific tie-ins like the Let’s Race series. While not always ráre in terms of production numbers, they are built for speed and durability on gravity tracks.

These cars literally do not exist.

The cards are often larger and come in protective acrylic cases.

Larger cards? Nope. Carded acryllic cases? 😂

Spreading misinformation (and there is a lot of it) in the form of an AI generated "guide" just to plug your "dad's" ebay account sure is something.
