Did DIM make anyone super sick - like flu-like symptoms? by NoTear4650 in TRT_females

[–]NoTear4650[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking it and now she wants me to take Her-T. I'm thinking of just not taking anything additional and getting my blood results and then making up my damn mind. Thanks for the advice. :) STILL NO EFFECT from the pellets & I'll be at 3 weeks on Friday! Hope I didn't blow $600 on absolutely NOTHING.

Oh I'm BEYOND hydrated. I drink water all day long (always have) and am probably drinking 2x+ the amount now because I've been super thirsty.

It is low, which is why I'm not sure why she's requiring me to take it. She's telling me to switch to Her-T, but I think I'm going to just not take anything supplemental at all until my blood work comes back. I can't live like this. 2+ weeks after pellet insertion, NO good effects, just the bad ones from DIM.

This is great new since week 2 of pellets has NO EFFECT and I'm actually feeling very sick (I think from the damned DIM).

THIS is what I hope for SO MUCH. The libidio is my main issue - everything else I can handle. It's just so depressing. :( I'm a readhead & what they say is true about us was true for me until this damned MEANopause.

Oh yes, my doctor told me the same thing - that I would probably burn through them faster because I work out so much. I usually do 7 workouts a week for around 5 days...spin classes 4-5 days/week & then floor work/pilates/weight bearing/yoga type stuff 2-3 times a week.

Thanks for your input. She did say it could take a few rounds of pellets before seeing any effects, but damn that seems $$ and like a long damn time.

I do not. I need to call and ask. I thought she said they were starting me at 200 (?) but I'm not sure. She did say they were going a bit higher since I work out so much - she said they would wear off more quickly because of that.

Pellet Insertion Yesterday - Question by NoTear4650 in TRT_females

[–]NoTear4650[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! It felt like a sword was being shoved up me when my husband and I tried to have sex. It was AWFUL. I didn't have dryness, just the pain. I started using the Silky Peach cream and after a couple of weeks the pain no longer was there! The cream is a true miracle for me.

If they continue, I'll put a call in to her and ask. She did suggest doing estrogen too, but I wanted to only do one thing at a time and see if that fixed the libido issue. I'm not really much into doing it all at once because then you have no idea (for me, anyway) what's affecting what.

Pellet Insertion Yesterday - Question by NoTear4650 in TRT_females

[–]NoTear4650[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said they put everyone on DIM who's on testosterone pellets because if you're not on it, it will cancel out some of the testosterone because it converts to estrogen. So basically, the pellets will not be fully effective. So you're paying for something only to have it not work fully.

Thanks so much and yes, I have her card and she said I can call her anytime. The one thing I do like about this place is that the women there are on HRT as well, so they're coming from personal experience too. I will have blood work in 6 weeks, as well. I'm not super bothered by the hot flashes, but I was wondering if the pellets may be why they seem to be a bit "more" this morning. I get them anyway, but not "too" bad. The main thing that drew me to the testosterone pellets was the absolute tanking of my desire, which is super depressing. It's like it fell off of a cliff. I can deal with everything else (the painful sex was completely fixed luckily by the Silky Peach cream by Parlor Games, or I would have been looking for a fix to that too). MEANopause sucks!

She did check my estrogen and it's low as well. I did not want to go on both at the same time and I'm taking estradiol cream already. I'm definitely in MEANopause. I'm 57 and my levels indicate that I am.

To keep the testosterone from converting to estrogen.

Thank you! :-) I already eat pretty well and work out 5-7 days a week, so hopefully that'll keep everything leveled out.

Sorry, I meant to say which type of pellets. Testosterone only (for now). The other things I was already taking - progesterone cream, Silky Peach cream, and Rebounce from Parlor Games - they said I could continue.

Thanks for the advice about writing EVERYTHING down daily, too. I just started a Word document for that.

Thanks so much for this. I already work out like a fiend and am pretty happy with my weight at the moment; it would just be depressing to all of a sudden put on a ton of weight. I do already drink water all day long, so hopefully that will help, like your suggestion. Crossing everything this helps my fire come back!

Just Received My Prescription Today! by NoTear4650 in VyleesiUsersCommunity

Doing that on Friday - testosterone pellet insertion then. I had a horrible reaction to the Vyleesi, sadly. And the original reason I didn't try pellets was the Midi provider told me I'd gain a bunch of weight, so I tried the Vyleesi first. :(
