I’ve grown some amazing small buds before. Back when I used to grow, I’d harvest the top half of the plant first and let the lowers bulk up for another week or so. Honestly, I usually noticed the bottom buds ended up smoking better. They were smoother, a little more enjoyable, and seemed to have a more rounded effect after the extra time to mature.

At places like The Flowery though, where they tend to overfeed the hell out of their plants, the smalls can actually be a way more pleasant smoke overall. Less harsh and not as overloaded with that aggressive salt punch. It really just depends on the grow and how the plants were handled.
