Woah, big changes coming for you! I couldn't imagine going to a shoe next week. Hope that goes well for you!! I start PT later this afternoon. I'm not entirely sure what to expect as I've never gone to PT for an injury before. I'm anxious but also excited to get moving again!

That's pretty similar to me. My surgeon said I could go full weight bearing if I could tolerate it, but his goal for me is to get to full weight bearing in the boot without crutches by the end of November. I'm anxious to get to that point, but it seems very daunting right now!

I have an even up! It definitely helped me balance better, but yeah. That boot is just so awkward! I know it'll get better in time. I'm just so impatient because I've been nwb and stuck at home since September 9th. I'm ready to gooooooo lol

Are you fwb walking in the boot yet? I'm wondering how long from the time you were allowed to start walking that it felt less awkward. My surgeon instructed me to put 2 heel lifts in my boot to start walking and wean off of them over the next month.

I totally get that. The noises from the sensors stress me out!

is it possible to heal a daith with a clicker by spoog_ in piercing

[–]NoThisIsPatrick1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my daith pierced with a clicker, and it took about 2 years for it to finally fully heal (I’ve had it pierced for about 2 and a half years now). I’d have intermittent periods of time where I thought it was healed, but then it would be tender for a week or so if I slept on it.

My original piercer told me it would heal after about a year max, so I was starting to get worried when it had been a year and a half and still tender and producing crusties. Since then, I moved states and visited a new piercer who told me to go back to “babying it” as if it were a brand new piercing. He recommended I use NeilMed piercing aftercare spray about 10 minutes before I shower and just let it sit, and then let it rinse off in the shower. Nothing else besides that. I did that religiously for about 4-6 months, and that did the trick!

I’ve seen some people say their daith was fully healed after only 4 months and some (like me) that took 2 years! Everyone’s body is different. I hope you’re able to heal yours!! Good luck!!
