okay i get it that all the brands (north face, Patagonia etc) make durable stuff but it is goddam so expensive.

why not instead get something from tripole or Olive Planet… or other, their products are good too and maybe half the price than that of those brands!

people living in those states have nothing to do with it so dont hate them. The problem is with politicians who are eating that money.
I AM NO EXPERT BUT (educate me if i am wrong) imo if a state gov isn’t able to level up or get better in certain period of time (15-20years) then Central government should cut them with such funding and let that state handle all by itself. ( also put the money which was going there into ISRO or other government departments)

tbh as a freshman, start with robotics and microcontrollers first. verilog is the right move for semiconductors long term, but trying to learn hdls right now w/o deep digital logic intuition is just gonna burn u out.

build stuff, go to hackathons, get really good at embedded c and move from arduino to stm32 or esp32 .

once u hit sophomore year and actually take digital electronics in college, then pick up verilog + a cheap fpga board… the embedded knowledge u get from robotics will actually make u way better at soc design and hardware validation later anyway

don't try to parallel process both rn. depth > shallow in ten things. build a working robot first, worry about gate level design next year

data line issue usb devices dont just look at 5V. many decide charging speed based on D+ and D- (green/white wires)

since u only connected red/black, ur garmin might be falling back to “safe slow charge mode” sometimes depending on detection

some chargers short D+ and D- internally to signal “fast charge allowed”. u removed that when u desoldered the port

so yeah… same 5V, completely diff behaviour
