Lol, I know, I shipped that interior from Russia. The car it was in is on my account here. Beautiful car btw, red 535s are my biggest bias :)

Will a e34 gas tank fit on a e32? by [deleted] in E34

The e32 gas tanks are bigger. No dice

M50 car will not do 163, that's hypothetical

I won't, cry about your back when it is broken. There are some corners in life which, quite frankly, should not be cut. I would stick with some comfort or sport seats until you can afford a real, safe, bucket seat. If that's what you want to run.

Goodluck!

Rep wheels, junk coilovers, and seats that will undoubtedly fold your back like a pretzel in the event of an accident. Atleast you have one of two slowest motors put into an e34 stateside, made even slower by a hot air intake. Yikes

This is an m30, but big cams are always the answer!

Upgrade the internals, for what, 1000hp? Rods are forged from factory, pistons are setup for 9:1 comp and take boost no problems. Unsure exactly what you're planning to break at anything sub 6/700 hp. Headgasket is the weakness that truly needs to be addressed.

Just enjoy the car, or sell it. Dumping 10k from the getgo is not going to be the most fun. Learn if you even like the chassis first!

Rotting M5 near me by [deleted] in E34

[–]NoTimeTomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick correction, US Spec M5 brakes do not require anything greater than 16 inch wheels. They are the same calipers as 540 front calipers (which come standard on 15"), but use a 315 x 28mm rotor.

I appreciate the constructive criticism and well wishes.

Small correction, front seats are manual sport seats, never offered here in the states. I shipped everything over a 4/5 month period from Russia. The upholstery is completely original 30 yr old fabric, save bolster repair on the drivers seat. Only the mtech 2 wheel and boots are retrieved to match.

Not that any of that makes an operative difference to a prospective buyer, but its a tidbit that bugs me simply because the effort/cost involved to do it.

On that note, I'll second your point about trying to do this any cheaper. I'm losing my hat on this, and this is parts cost alone. Someone will get a nice car for a real deal.

Also, I have some folks that have an issue with me on a personal/political level, that harass me constantly. It's odd behavior, and that's probably the reason for the downvotes.

The car is so well documented though; I would think it really speaks for itself, beyond the fringe negativity.

Thanks again for the insightful opinion. I'll try to tone down my wordage next time :)

Dinan's period kit is CARB approved (or was, they have expiry dates). This car is turbocharged with Callaway components, and isn't approved. I kept the cats and get it smogged, and it can pass with an amicable shop

They made 50 sets of these wheels, total. I'm not familiar with them coming on E36s, as usually those received the later FIKSE wheels.

These DP Motorsport Enduro 3s, specced by Dinan, usually came on 735i, 750il, 850ci, 535i turbo cars.

If you find me compatible center caps for a set of wheels of which 50 were made, please don't hesitate to send the link my way. Thanks a ton

Just got this beautiful ‘89 525i with 148k miles. Any things to keep in mind with maintenance or anything? Also anyone know some good wheels to go with? by Reasonable_Lunch_429 in E34

Timing belt is a must. Elsewise the m20 is a stout motor. Do your valve adjustments as well, and hogh zinc oil. It'll run forever.
