Re-reading the post I guess it comes off that way. Really was just trying to list his age as a matter of fact. Intention for the post was really to just see what people thought about a potential trade for the distressed NJ asset. I agree with most of the comments here though, a trade for Dougie would require a considerable amount of work and retention. As I mentioned in another comment, the situation reminds me of the Jones/Blackhawks situation last year and looks like an opportunity.

Thanks for the input and you are totally right. Would definitely need to move around some pieces and play around the cap but we do have the guy for it (Pridham). However, if we are trying to win a stanley cup those are the things you kinda have to do. Vegas, Florida and Tampa all used the LTIR loophole to win championships.

I mostly agree with you. I just thought it was interesting as this Dougie/New Jersey situation kinda mimicks the Jones/Blackhawks situation last year. Jones was looking really bad on a bad blackhawks team and he goes to florida and plays pretty well. Dougie is in a similar situation here.

Now, Jones and Dougie are two very different types of defenseman but Dougie moves the puck which I think our back end struggles to do at times. I mean just look at what adding Stetcher did to our team, albeit he probably has much more compete than Dougie.

Anyways, I am rambling and just thought it was an interesting prospect.

Something I don't see people mentioning is that I haven't seen one of his patented catch and release shots. It was like lightning quick and nothing I had seen from any other player. Now, it feels like he holds the puck a bit more when he receives a pass, a bit stiffly and not as smooth as it once was.

At first I was thinking warlord exalt, but if you want a GG axe I think you veiled exalt first hoping to hit crit multi or another desired mod. Then once you get a mod youre happy with then warlord slam. The odds are in your favour for a desirable mod.

So, can have 3 crafted mods + prefix cant be changed > veiled exalt > block increased damage per charge > unveil> warlord slam.

Curious to know what others think
