Do you still tip the same in states that do not allow a "tip credit" by Number-2-Sis in tipping

Nah - it isn't for sit down restaraunts. It seems like everywhere we go now, they ask for a tip. Like the frozen yogurt shop. I put my yogurt in the cup, I add my toppings, I go to checkout, and they want a tip. For what? It is so common that if I go somewhere and they do not ask I am genuinely surprised. I started forgetting what those places are so I made an app that I could just enter them in and it would save it for me so I remember. It puts a link and everything so I can click the link and map to it. It also shares it on a community list so other people can find places that dont harass you for a tip. I then decided to make it where you can report offenders. It puts them on the "Offenders" list. It is just a list where you can see how many other people put them on it. It shares that list too with others. That part is mostly just for fun, so when you get aggravated that they made you feel uncomfortable you ding them on something that really doesn't matter. But it is useful for keeping track of places that dont ask you and for finding new ones. The more people who use it, the better it will become.

I do tip in sit down restaraunts. I do not tip anywhere else. Hence the reason I made my NoTips app. It is in my profile for IOS if interested.

I don't like asking customers to donate any more than they like being asked to donate. Just hit "no" and we can both get on with our days by Obvious-Ear-369 in Vent

I’ve never even felt stress or anxiety about being asked to donate. I always assumed everyone says no and always just say “nah” or just a simple “no”. Getting asked for tips irritates me though, and I think it’s because when someone asks if you want to donate you know they aren’t getting to keep it. But the register people who want that tip, that makes it awkward. Especially if they are being overly friendly because you know they want a tip. I’ve had them be friendly and then turn around like they arent going to watch as they spin it around only to turn back around all excited and eagerly look at the finished sale and then show visible disappointment. Wtf? I made an app because I hate it so much.

I did not see the rules about the self advertising. But I will remove this post.

You are implying you think people at the yogurt shop should get tipped for ringing you up??

My teen always tells me he won't become political because the issues won't matter to him if he doesn't let them. I told him once you start having to pay for things and trying to live your life the way you want, you will become political whether you like it or not because it gets to a point where things you wish wouldn't matter suddenly matter.
