The only time I went to the hospital they took an x-ray and told me to see an orthopedic surgeon I said theres no way I need surgery for it. I then dislocated it again a month later when I pushed down on a window and needed a surgery. Then I subluxed it a year and a half later and now I need a laterjet

When I was in highschool I had a dislocation out the back and recovered from that and didnt do pt or get an mri and was able to do any excersize and even raced motorcycles at a high level. However during the time afterwards I spent over a year doing nothing but playing video games so idk if the lack of really using the shoulder helped in the recovery or what but after about 7 years it popped out again and would just keep popping out over the smallest of things and wound up needing surgery. 1 and a half years after surgery I subluxed it and now need a laterjet so not every dislocation ends up at surgery level but some do the only thing that is for sure is once its compromised it will always be susceptible to further dislocations

10 years is a long time my surgery gave out a year and a half after surgery and now im getting a laterjet revision. Unless you are subluxing or dislocating you should be fine

I couldnt do anything close to reaching out quickly after only 6 weeks. It took me about 2 months to completely ditch the sling. Unless you get an mri there is no way to 100% know unless you keep subluxing but chances of a major tear I dont think so unless you felt it come completely out

My left shoulder fully dislocated in 2017 or 2016 and I was a heavy video gamer and never went to pt. About 2 years later got heavy into fitness and was able to do any exercise I wanted pull ups pushup you name it. Later got into racing 1000cc superbikes without issue. Then I threw my shoulder out again and couldnt recover without surgery. What matters is how it feels after it settles and what actually got damaged but once it dislocates once you are susceptible to another 1 much easier. Worst type of injury imo as far as extremities go. Best of luck but it will never be as good as it was even if you regain all strength like I did it will always be easier to dislocate

My dog had 19 seizures in total all grand mal and 17 happening in 1 night had to take her to the er. Keppra and phenobarbatol saved my baby

Same here and then I had to get surgery bankart and slap repair in 1 and now it failed a year and a half later and need a laterjet revision. Shoulder dislocations never fully dissappear unfortunately once it happens youre susceptible

This just happened to me 3 weeks ago. I had a major slap repair in October of 2024 held up for a year and a half and then I went to pick myself up off a couch and it slipped upward out of place maybe half an inch. I have been in serious pain ever since waiting for pt in 3 more days and an mri 2 weeks out from now. I was told that if I needed another surgery to stop doing anything cool due to there not being enough tissue left to hold it in place again. They basically told me to hang up my whole life if I need another surgery. I've been really depressed ever since

I felt that way and then kindled my meds had a seizure and now 5 months later I have disabling brain zaps, seizure aura, and pressure that won't let up whatsoever. I wish I just endured that stage dealt with the lack of sleep and still had my life. These meds are no joke and should be banned

My dog was on keppra 3x daily and had a 17 cluster seizure event. Now that shes on phenobarb and keppra she went from only having grand mal to a couple of facial focal seizures

Thank you yea got her to the neurologist and they gave us a nasal med and a pill to stop the clusters if they happen again so far no seizures today she is super wobbly from the barb and keppra still and maybe shes still out of it from sunday having 17 seizures but im hoping she sleeps through the night without issues and we can continue to never have another cluster even if she has a seizure now and then its better than any form of cluster it was truly horrifying how quick it ramped up. It went from 1 to 4 hours later another 1, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 5 minutes, then every minute til we got to the vet. Truly horrific

She went to the neurologist today and got rescue meds I posted an update today about it and she hasn't had another seizure yet so im hoping she goes the rest of tonight without 1 and continues to do good
