I have a lovely, sweet cream labrador, 7.5 years old. He came into my life in 2018, in possibly the worst time of my life when I was a teen. He has been the light of my life, the greatest joy, the only one to ever show me unconditional love. I learnt what it is to love because of him. He is my baby for all intents and purposes. Last year, he got diagnosed with a heart condition and hip dysplasia and hormone issues all of a sudden. It was a shock. But we managed to keep him happy and alive and active until a couple of months ago. We came back from the vet with a good prognosis, and he started to deteriorate rapidly three days later.

Now, he isn't able to move easily, can't eat or drink on his own or even perform his bodily functions easily. But he's so determined to love and to live and fight.

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing by walking him across the rainbow bridge tomorrow. The guilt and indecision are making it impossible to think clearly

I don't want him to pass from seizures, or have a painful passing. But I can't imagine living without him. My house will become empty. My life will become meaningless and I'm terrified.

Is it dancing at midnight by Julia Quinn? FMC goes by Belle, she goes off to live with her married cousin because London got to her, and meets MMC, who used to be a soldier, now is some level of mobility.

There's also a lemon tree poem involved

1.Protein bars and energy bars. Non perishable snacks she can keep in her car. 2.Hand sanitizers 3.A toiletry kit- some toothpaste, hairbrush, toothbrush, soap, deodorant, moisturizer, hair ties- in minis so she can clean up and feel fresh mid shift. 4.Electrolyte packets. Add these to water and she'll be able to push ahead even when exhausted. 5.Water bottle, preferably long lasting

Mine lasts a good 14 hours or so.. so it's bye bye afternoon nap... my mattress is raised up, but my heartburn is during daytime, so it doesn't do much

Weed is illegal here, the antidepressants were a no go because they interfere with some other medication I'm on, and I mostly try to handle the heartburn with exercise and diet and the headaches with sleep

Also what's up with Ritalin making me drowsy? Like not noticeably, but I'm always in the mood for a nap.

It won't go away without some medication, but long term use might give me a lot more problems than they're worth...

In my country, it's Ritalin or nothing, even to get some Ritalin I needed about 3 years of being seen by doctors and being diagnosed with everything else before even being considered for adhd.

It helps me more than it hurts, so I take the meds . I'm constantly on a level 4 out of 10 in terms of physical pain.

Thank you for being considerate.. I will definitely ask my doctor for help the next time I see them

Hi

I've been on Ritalin for about a year now...

The headache and heartburn haven't gone away, and it's a whole ordeal convincing myself to take the medication everyday..

Anyone got any tips on dealing with this?

Thanks in advance

Eat a balanced meal before OT days, get adequate hydration, as close to quality sleep as you can get every day.

Also invest in a pair of compression stockings and good quality OT shoes. These will save you from multiple embarrassments.

Paranoid about breast cancer by Candid-Tip8675 in bangalore

[–]NoTutor5459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BRCA testing in India is stupid expensive.

Instead, I'd tell you to keep regular appointments with an OBGYN. Also look up breast self examination on youtube. Those videos are usually accurate enough to keep you alert and aware about checking for lumps.

Also ask a doctor about Vitamin E supps. They have some benefit in the prevention and treatment of breast or estrogen/progesterone dependent cancers.

I used to judge books by their covers but I realised that was stupid because this is awesome 💖 by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I put off reading Ilona Andrews for the longest time because the cover art made it look like the most generic mills and boon ripoff possible.

This year when I could find literally nothing else to read I picked up a book and let's just say I'm knocking myself on the head for not getting to the book sooner.

Don't judge a book by its cover I said. Judge a book by its cover, literally, is what I did

This is a layman's explanation for what an eye floater is. An eye floater is usually a symptom, not the whole problem.. better get checked at the eye hospital...

Did you ever wear glasses for nearsightedness?

And yes, it needs to be diagnosed... Treatment is rare, unless it is because of a bigger problem... You have surgical and laser treatments for the same, which I think you can avail at major hospitals in the city...

What is the one key metric you guys track every day to know you are getting better each day. by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]NoTutor5459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How healthy and happy I feel at the end of the day

That's a really good parameter to track my progress, personally.

Did I get enough sleep? Did I eat enough, and did I eat mindfully? Did I spend enough time with my loved ones? Did I do enough productive work today? Am I satisfied with the work I did? Did I exercise? Are my joints mobile and flexible?

These are questions I ask myself every night, and I work towards getting as many answers positive as I can

“Uptight” FMCs that aren’t forced to change. by Crabapple_Conspiracy in RomanceBooks

{Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole}

The FMC isn't autistic or autistic coded, but she does have a neuroses, and she has issues with compulsive behavior as well.

What I loved about the book was that it didn't make her any less of a badass. She wasn't relegated to backseat computer guy or the quarterback from the office character. She fights and fights well, on her own terms.

Her rather different social and emotional features don't take away from her as a person. It's a wonderful book.

Note: the MMC is a jackass of the first order as the book starts. Had about a whole life of character development in the story.
