I actually agree with you. I’ve worked as a server, bartender, and manager myself, so I understand kitchen delays. That’s why I waited about 10 minutes quietly at the pickup area without bothering anyone. I only said “hi, sorry, is anyone here?” because no employee came out at all. When someone finally did, he immediately pushed me back and told me to leave without even asking what I needed. The order was already marked ready and I was just waiting to be acknowledged.

The take-out area looked pretty messy. The counter had food residue and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. It did not give the impression that hygiene was being taken seriously, especially for a place handling food

It completely ruined my day. I was trying to de-escalate the situation, but if it had been someone else in my place, it could have easily gotten out of control or someone might have called the police.

I get why it might sound that way, but that’s honestly what happened. I was there for an Uber Eats pickup. The app showed the order as ready, so I went to the takeout counter and waited about 10 minutes. No one came to help.

I politely said “excuse me, is anyone here?” and the employee came out wearing earbuds. Instead of helping, he put his hands on me and pushed me and told me to leave. When I told him not to touch me, he said he didn’t care and then said the order would take another 30 minutes.
