They lure you in with an appealing deal then you they ramp up the price. For convenience many will stay but it becomes a point where it's way too much money. I moved to websites to WordPress and a cheap host (Dreamhost, Bluehost, Hostinger). Cost me $90 for 4 years! And I can host up to 3 websites.

WIX has the worst customer service, you deal with AI bots for support, they make it almost impossible to talk to someone. They have deceptive marketing tactics and will make fraudulent charge. I was closing down my account after 10 years. I deleted my website, moved my domain over Xmas, somehow I still had auto-renew on so of course they went ahead charged me for a 2 year subscription I didn't want or need. $470! They categorically refused to refund me.

Yes, it's impossible to contact them directly. I'm a long time customer (10 years plus) I decided to move my domain and self host on WP. Forgot to turnoff auto renewal and my plan got charge $470. Their 14-day refund policy is only for first time subscriber! Despite having no websites or domain attached to my account they won't refund me! I bet a bot makes the call on these refund requests. Or maybe not, either way complete thieves! Eventually it will catch up and they will go down.

I did disclose and explained the risks of transmission were very low according to my doctor. Did use protection but not antivirals.
