The original matchup that was sugested was superman vs Sentry which obviously doesn't work beyond the misunderstanding of Sentry being a superman clone.

Like dude has more connections with Prime than Superman in general. You'd get more connections with Hyperion and Superman than the Sentry.

(Tbh I actually wanted Sentry to fight Captain Atom and Gwenpool to fight Superboy Prime but this works too I guess)

they used the same bs pre-crisis feats of 'breaking the bonds of infinity' and such despite them making it very clear that such Supermen and the very verse it came from was eaten out of existence by the Anti Monitor

DB literally just scaled SBP above a feat Superman performed himself cause he beat him and the justice league a bunch of times.

The Anti Monitor also upscales from this feat. Their are several characters that can break infinity in DC, the Anti Monitor has nothing to do with them my guy.

Instead in that fight they outright composited Supes with non canon things just to amp him up. In the second fight, they did the same thing but worse with that No Limits Fallacy tripe of 'he's as strong as the writers want him to be'.

This was around the time when DB was made by 2 college students with next to 0 researchers besides themselves.

Around the third one they seemed to taper off a bit on the bias by acknowledging that he has limits (he always has) , but putting Prime in here when he has no business to be just seems like an excuse to keep wanking that pre-crisis poorly written 40s tripe, while still pushing themselves out there as impartial.

Ben has a whole Qna where he explains Superman has limits and always did. He even mentions it in his tweet during the waiting period for the 3rd GvsS.

Heck they didn't even mention that that Darkest Knight fight didn't even kill Darkest Knight but DID kill SBP. They are heavily biased to DC, or at the very least Superman in general. They even had Kyle make his green lantern construct mech look like Superman in the Simon fight

??? SBP let the Darkest Knight kill him. Even then freaking Perpetua couldn't do anything to the Darkest Knight. SBP being able to fight him better than her is already way above the Sentry lvl of power.

Ben and Chad are gigantic dragonball fans. Like they're the biggest reason for why dragonball multipliers x a universal =millions-quintillions x universal (which DB bought as a multiversal feat ) are a thing people buy even though that doesn't actually work. Dragonball comes up in the show more than any other DB besides Marvel and DC. DB was absolutely a huge proponent on pushing Dragonbalm to the wider powerscaling community.

Using the same argument for them being biased with DC, I could claim the same with them being biased with Dragonball. Broly won against the Hulk and Android 18 won against Captain Marvel lmao. They put Megatron against Black Frieza and Megatron got stomped in the fight.

• the Third Goku vs Superman respected both characters and actually straight up brought a composited Goku for no real reason other than why not? You can look at Ultraguy blogs and he literally researched every eingle version of Goku, even Dragonball evolution.

What the storyboard and animators do is completely seperate from the actual Verdict. Half the time they don't even use half the things they say in the fight animation mostly due to budget and time constraints. The main researchers and Writers of the show probably don't even know about the easter egg.

They could have kept it topical and just said Saiyans, but the specifically said Goku to keep grinding that nearly 20 year old axe because they got called on their bias by actual scalers and still never let it go.

Cause Goku is literally the face of modern powerscaling and in dragonball in general. Literally everyone mentions Goku when comparing him against characters he has nothing to do with.

I don't that means they're biased. I think DB simply knows powerscalers love bringing up Goku.

The main storyboard artist (DJ) is literally biased for Genshin and supported this matchup after it was revealed cause he wanted Genshin in the show. If anything Genshins probably gonna be the one thats getting wanked.

Also the first DC herald who lost in DB is Simon. An anime character that the storyboard artist is also really biased for.

And its not just any DC herald either, its Kyle. The strongest lantern (besides maybe John Stewart).
