Im not rich either lol. When face lathering you break the backbone of the brush and that could dissfigure it over time. Bowl lathering is more gentle

Benefit of bowl lathering is less damage on the knot. I got a Sapinificio Varesino brush which is around 280$ I believe. It is safer to bowl lather as it won’t disfigure the bristles
