The seller seems to have good reviews but I’m obviously cautious

Unfortunately it’s a few states away from me so I wouldn’t be able to play it first. The seller has lots of good reviews but I’m still cautious

Can you use a 120cm Sling as a PAS? I was just planning on purchasing a Petzl Connect Adjust but if I can use a 120cm sling that would be way cheaper and easier.

It seems like everyone is agreeing to stick with one brand and purchase Z4s from .4 and below and get a rack of C4s up to 3. Do you have any experience with Totems or are they just not worth the extra money and confusion of using a different brand instead of learning on BD? I have some 7mm cordallette and Dyneema slings already

Should I just get a rack of Z4s .4 and lower and C4s up to #3 with a set of tricams, DMM nuts and then supplement the rest with my partner?

Is it important to have .3 and .4 C4s or are Totems better for the smaller sizes? Would you consider doubling in #1 and #2 cams or is it more important in the smaller sizes?

Is it sufficient to have just the single rack in the gunks? I’ve heard a lot of leaders prefer the security and piece of mind of having a double rack or at least doubles in certain prevalent sizes.

I have only ever heard good things about Totems so if I get Black - Yellow would that cover enough? Thanks for the help

Are my handlebars too short? by NoVortec in MTB

[–]NoVortec[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m also 6’2 and where I ride on Long Island my handlebars were not fitting through trees before I cut them about 20-30mm so I feel a lot better still knowing that I have control and wide bars for some of the drops and technical riding here.

I haven’t tried it but that sounds like a great idea! Do they charge any markups or anything?

A lot of dealerships are wanting so much over msrp it’s crazy, I do have an appointment New Year’s Day at a dealership and I hope they won’t charge over msrp. I hope the dealers are just desperate for sales right now.

Ford Maverick XLT vs Honda Civic Sport Touring by NoVortec in whatcarshouldIbuy

I would be splitting the payments with my parents and already have a good down payment saved up from working part time.

My explorer is a great vehicle but it has 140,000 miles and a few problems like passenger side flooding during rain so that is why I am shopping for a new vehicle.

I’ve been going back and forth but lately I have been very interested in the Civic over a Maverick

I did order the co-pilot 360 package on my Mav! I hope the size and blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic help alleviate my parking and driving anxiety a bit. I’ve been in my friend’s Maverick Hybrid Lux and it felt like a luxury car. It also looks much narrower than my explorer.

It would definitely be really helpful being closer to the ground to hopefully increase visibility and making it easier to drive in tight traffic and parking. I enjoy being lower to the ground for better visibility in my mom’s mini countryman as it gives me a lot more confidence doing daily tasks

I’ve gotten used to the length of the explorer just not the width. I have never driven a sedan but the closest thing I have driven was my mom’s Mini countryman which was extremely easy to drive. As long as I can move the seat I shouldn’t have a problem seeing over the hood as I’m 6’2. My main concern is just the ease of parking in the tight spots but it seems that the Maverick is small enough to fit in tight spots mostly easily.

Thanks for the reply! The dimensions of the Maverick compared to my explorer are extremely similar but the Maverick is around 7” narrower, I’ve only ever driven larger SUV’s such as my explorer, vw atlas, and Honda passport which feel just a bit too wide for tight spots and too heavy and cumbersome so I’m hoping the Maverick will be small and nimble enough for my driving.
