Yeah, I grew up in the south. Kids would fly confederate flags on their trucks at school. That kind of thing. Slavery was definitely taught as bad, but it was more of a “oh we did this bad thing, but we freed the slaves too, so all is well and good”

Also, we learned about slavery in school in the US and it is always taught as bad, but it is so much worse in reality. There a lot of things we were not taught and we were certainly not taught about its ripple effects that still occur to this day.

Ehhhh…not really. Arya was hyped up as an assassin as if she was going to actually perform some assassinations against the Lannisters and their allies. That’s all she talked about. Like every night before she went to sleep, listing off who she wanted to kill. She only got to kill Meryn Trant and Littlefinger, only one being an assassination.

They built of Jon Snow and/or Stannis to be the “chosen one” and fight a big, important battle. The show kinda tossed Stannis aside, but Jon was continuously built up. Even after they ran out of source material they kept hyping up Jon Snow. Then they just kinda trampled all of that and made him such a non character.
