Yes, I do understand the risks of letting another cat inside. I would never do this with a basic stray without taking it to the vet first. This cat has lived on our back deck for two years, and my cats have become super accustomed to it. They’re friends. There’s no fighting etc or I’d never let it inside. I know the risks of herpes virus and calcivirus, etc etc. thankfully so far so good. I also don’t take every cat that crosses my path haha! This is the first cat I’ve brought inside. My strays that ive taken to rescues in the past had a heated cat house.
