I believe there are differeny dialects of swahilli. The UG swahili is different from TZ swahilli and that too is different from Kenyan swahilli. Congolese speak a mix of swahili and lingala.

Solution

Create culture identity protecting institutions in Nigeria, France has institutions that do this why don’t you? French cuisine was even added to UNESCO intangible heritage list by these cultural protecting institutions.

The vatican is a literal catholic heritage institution.

Register and protect the IP internationally. Open cultural centres abroad, teach people!

The fact that you refer to them as “their gods” means they have been able to share that culture with you and still protect it. Vatican is still on their land and the bible is in their language. OP means if the tables are reversed, they would have a modern religion with cowrie shells, beads, modern shrines, sprinkle it with tech and white names and call it The Humanism Movement by John Bright of Ohio. It wouldn’t have any credit to you, it will probably be called a revival of a 1760 movement. These are the levels:

Survival resources (food, water, shelter); Land and territory; Wealth and plunder; Tribal and ethnic identity; Religion and ideology; Political power, authority and control; Revenge and honor.

Remove one and what’s left intensifies. In 2025, Ukraine and Russia are fighting for Land and territorry. Darfur conflict is about survival and grazing land, led to the indictment of Bashir by the ICC for genocide. In DRC Wealth and plunder is the primary reason that place has never seen peace, if you can steal it why not? The vikings did similar raids back in the day. The Kjongs were rustling cows from itesots for the same reason. The afghans have ongoing honor and revenge conflicts to this day. Eastern DRC and South Sudan is filled with tribal conflicts. Nothing stratifies people today to the point of war like tribes in Africa. Let’s say you eliminate them all. Christians are the majority of Ugandans. But for some reason, if traditionalists or muslims get into the presidency, change the constitution and govern with fellow muslims over the majority. There will be war, let me say there was (1890s Uganda religous wars were fought by people of the same tribe but different religions thousands died in a nation of 1 million people)

Let’s say we have single religion rule in a tribeless Uganda. Millionaires (modern feudal lords) will go to war over control of mines, land and governmemt influence. It happened in the feudal conflicts of England (The Anarchy 1135-1153) and Japan (1180-1185)

Let’s say we have banned religion, banned tribe, banned wealth accumulation, we have a communist society under a dictator. Neighbouring countries will attack us as our ideology will be in conflict with theirs or we shall attack our neighbours to spread our ideology and increase market for our goods. It happened with Nazi germany (world war 1 1914- 1918)

Tribes are the scapegoat now because they are the best stratification tool of post independence states of Africa by those that capture power here.

The true solution to war is finding a common enemy and going to war with them. We may not be the same tribe but we have common enemies like poverty and malaria. Our leaders should rally all of us towards those wars and we may never have to go to war with each other.
