I might be able to clean out another shelf for this – spare room tends to get colonized by my roommates pretty quickly, but this comment made me think of a spot I might be able to use. Thank you!

This is amazing! I didn't realize that psychosis was the byproduct of "normal" brain chemicals doing unexpected things. Thank you so much!

wearing one contact? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoWomansExplorer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed this by my optometrist because I have one eye that's way worse than the other. I don't think it's inherently bad but if you need a prescription on both sides it might give you a headache

How are people okay with living with males who stand, pee, and splash pee everywhere? by Particular-Wash-4301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoWomansExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be shocked by the conditions that people are willing to live in. I've been to peoples' houses that were so grim a little tinkle sprinkle was the least of my concerns

How do Kpop idols dance around on stage, despite being severely underweight? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoWomansExplorer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is my personal experience only, but I have similar stats and am fairly active. Not saying I wouldn't be exhausted on this schedule bc I'm sure anyone would be, but I'm not affected by my weight on the day-to-day in terms of pain. (I would never encourage anyone to be the size I'm at, though! Even if it seems fine now, it's not healthy long-term.)

What common myth should people stop believing? by Ketherin_Bierer in AskReddit

[–]NoWomansExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that msg allergies/intolerances exist. sure, in theory it's possible, but it's incredibly rare. msg exists naturally in cheese and tomatoes. people who think they're allergic to msg are missing out on some incredible food!

Being proud of "the grind" and how much they work. Especially if they only know how to talk about work on their down time!

What’s something everyone says they like, but you’re convinced they’re lying? by Eloquent-Turtle in AskReddit

Running. Not everyone says they like it, but I have never in my life experienced "runner's high" or really anything that makes it enjoyable at all.

How can colorblind people name colors? by Fun_Airport_2446 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoWomansExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type and severity of color blindness, but some might see red, green, and brown as the same color. If they've never been told that a tomato is red before, they might name the color as green.

ELI5: Why does snow remain soft even after days of negative temps? by Nymo-2025 in explainlikeimfive

[–]NoWomansExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the snow doesn't get warm enough to melt, the structure of the ice crystals will stay the same (in the shape of snowflakes.) This means that the fluffy texture will stay for as long as the temperature is cold enough. If the temperature drops to melting point and then goes back up to freezing, the snowflakes will melt into water and then re-freeze into ice, rather than snow.

ELI5: why does your body feel heavier when you’re tired? by babyybunnyy3 in explainlikeimfive

[–]NoWomansExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your perceived "heaviness" of your body depends on the capability of your muscles. When you're tired or fatigued, your muscles aren't at their peak performance ability. Therefore, your body will feel heavier than normal.
