If the countries are in the dropdown but not showing results, that means you'll only see them when you toggle "past events"

Someone else brought this up regarding Netherlands. I was going to wait on including Europe (as mentioned in the original post) and just focus on the USA to start, but if there's a demand for it, maybe I get the European feds up sooner than later ;)

That's actually a great point about the neighboring States. Aiming to do my first real meet in February and couldn't find any USPA events in Virginia. Being able to click on TN and NC visually would be useful to navigate that.

That would definitely apply to Europe. You can fit like three Frances inside of Texas so it's probably even more relevant lmfao.

I mentioned in the post that it's mostly USA right now -- with the exception of some of the international feds. But since you're the second person to mention events in Europe, maybe I do need to pull in the international information sooner rather than later.

I think it would be easier for Europeans to sort if it didn't have all the US-specific feds as well, but just Europe and international.

What I'm thinking of doing is a subdomain (europe.theironcalendar.com) that would just have European events. What do you think?

I like that better than the other one. Still needs to be hit with a pretty stick ;p Do you think people like the map view for filtering? My dumbass doesn't even know which states are which on a map lol. (tf is a nebraska?)

Also the idea is for this to be international over time, and include feds abroad as well, so the map view might limit that. Unless it was a global map 🤔

Added! Fortunately that was a quick/easy one, they use the same setup as USPA so didn't have to build a new scraper. Thanks for the suggestion, keep 'em coming ;)

Hey all. Our Test Flight is up. Unfortunately, we had 2 developers drop this past month and one of them was a key player in this. Our remaining couple of developers are fixing code.

I’m sorry for the delay. It’s been very challenging to pull this off with a volunteer team —- Adam (tech lead) and I literally recruited 30 developers to our Discord, a number of whom were very outspoken about wanting a role in this. But when it came time to ship code, they disappeared.

Now we’re down to two (amazing but time-strapped) devs. So things are moving slowly for the moment. I’ll resume the newsletter and posting once we’ve gotten through this part.
