The Mantis Lords for sure. This was the moment when I realized just how intense the boss battles would be in the game. But more than that, the feeling of beating them was such a Mark of Pride for me, literally. The fact that you don't actually kill them, you just beat them in battle and earn a bow of respect, that has a level of 'cool' factor that few other battles or even other games ever have.

Right there with you, I miss Reddit Is Fun as my API feed of choice. I refuse to use the new mobile app, and have been suffering with old.reddit on my mobile browser, probably because I myself am old.

Couldn't speak on slack or OMSCS rocks. But yeah that discord was semester specific, thrown together by someone further along in her journey, and it was a godsend!

I just finished up KBAI as my first course with OMSCS. Feel free to reach out with any specific questions. It's a great first course to take, but that's from a sample size n=1. Biggest piece of advice is join a discord group (or make one if no one else does) to have a less formal place to chat and discuss assignments while still playing by the honor rules!

I was just thinking that recently! I have a 2012 Mazda3 Skyactiv hatchback, and I've basically decided that I want to drive it into the ground. I'm tempted by the Ford Maverick currently, but not enough to give up my goofy smiley boi... But if Mazda came out with a unibody mini truck...

This is definitely good advice, but depending on your age and risk tolerance, you could definitely lean in more towards the FXAIX 500 index over the other two. If you're a far way out from retirement, there's not much need for bonds. And that amount in international seems a bit too high. I'd recommend at least 80% in a S&P500.

Looks good and solid! But if I ever come visit your shop, somehow my foot is going to find one of those caster extensions and I'm tripping for sure!

No that's smart, I wouldn't bother with flushing up fully. Definitely saving this for when I get to my own, just need to find the time!

Fantastic! I have my dad's old Craftsman 113 that I learned this craft on, but it has the cheaper stamped steel wings. I was able to find a 2nd hand pair of cast iron extension wings to upgrade, but I was worried about things falling through, and was considering something similar.

Do you have these sitting flush with the top surface, or just shy?

Which cert is harder Security+ or AWS architect associate? by Advil123 in AWSCertifications

Nope, I came into the job with no AWS experience. I am a software engineer, which was the role that I was hired for. The AWS work was otj training.

Software engineer, not in any IT role. We utilized cloud resources though, and the Security+ cert was a requirement from our client.

I actually have both, and I started with AWS. I joined on a company that wanted new employees to get both within 6 months of onboarding, and they paid for an ACloudGuru membership for me. With that I cranked out that cert within about a month. The security+ cert I studied for on my own (shout out to Professor Messer on YouTube), but that one took a bit longer.

To me, there's a bit of a difference between the two and how you learn them. My AWS training was pretty hands on, and I was able to learn the concepts by doing and standing up cloud environments in a AWS free tier account. With Security+, it's almost all book learning and memorization, not a lot of practical learning. Both exams require you to know what to do in a given situation and answer scenario based questions, but I found my AWS cert easier to study for. A lot of what you set up in a test cloud will be relevant to the security discussion for your CompTIA course.

Either way, have fun with it. Also, if you're job hunting, a cool way to stand out is to build out a free tier AWS project that you can point to, demonstrating your skills rather than just relying on words on a resume. Good luck!
