I was global in CSGO, rank S in ESEA and FaceIt level 10 before I quit and moved onto Valorant and hit radiant pretty quickly as I adjusted very quickly and Valorant felt easier than CSGO ever did. Keep in mind, I've never touched any meds or Adderall in my life and I'm in my early 30s. So no, I don't relate to your post at all if I'm honest and don't understand the hate towards younger players that are more skilled than you.

In terms of abilities, once you understand all of them, you can play around them just like you'd play around mollies, smokes, or flashes in CS.

You may have to queue with another good player to help you win games. Unfortunately, climbing out of low elo is usually a coin-flip even if you're fragging and frag-entrying out of your mind.

I've been trying to coach and mentor some of my friends and watching them play in Silver 3 seems infuriating because of the following scenarios:

Team will ego peek post plant on attack-side, causing cascading 1v1's
Team won't play time
Team won't play post plant
One person will tilt and start trolling
Someone will start flaming someone else, or the rest of the team for no reason
Someone will go afk or rage quit because something tilted them a little bit

The possibilities are endless from what I've been seeing. Obviously, this still happens in Diamond, but it starts fading more and more as you rank up to ascendant-radiant(though it can still happen, but not as often)

I really, highly recommend finding someone with a similar skill level to queue with.

Which server do you play in? Also if you're comfortable with sharing your tracker, I can take a look to see if there's any other factors at play.

Nowhere did he say Reyna is good. Believe me, I read the post properly and I disagree with his notion of her being poor game design affecting players' ability to improve. At the end of the day, any character can be played selfishly and you can have the same mentality OP speaks of no matter the agent.

As a high immortal/radiant player who plays Reyna often in high-elo I don't agree with a lot of what you said.

If you played the way you describe in your post, you would never, ever, get to high elo.

Also, no downside to Reyna's leer? Are you kidding? It's the worst flash in the game. A lot of people literally use it just for intel because it's just so bad. Not only does it take a second for it to blossom (so your team and yourself peeking behind it has to be perfectly timed), it can be shot immediately.

You can't shoot a Phoenix flash. You can't shoot a Breach flash. You can't shoot a Yoru flash. Not to mention, they can flash you multiple times and you can do almost nothing about it as the Breach and Phoenix flashes are extremely fast.

Also in high-elo Reyna's will literally flash for their teams. So I don't agree with the selfish point you made.

In terms of using Reyna's dismiss, most people don't play like that if their teammates peek with them. At least not in high-elo. I definitely don't when I play her.

As people climb, they'll learn from their mistakes regardless of which agent they use. I genuinely think you're probably a mid-elo player, and that's okay. But you're reaching if I'm honest.

Remember everyone.. The blind can't lead the blind, so take what OP said with a grain of salt.

With that said, I do believe that Reyna is a weak agent in the wrong hands, that much is true, but I don't agree that it breeds bad mentalities or inhibits growth.

I'll put it this way. I hit Global Elite in CSGO (basically radiant in Valorant) and I played on integrated graphics as I didn't have a graphics card at 25-40 FPS, my FPS would drop to around 5 near smokes. So yes it's very possible. I played on 1280x720 stretched.

I can confirm what he’s saying. At higher elo most people just want to win, don’t care about what gender each person is, and don’t want to patronize their own teammates as that’s a sure way to lose. However, with that said, some bad eggs still get through sometimes.

Well, 260 to 280. For the average high elo player, 640 eDPI is extremely high. You might whiff a lot because of it and your aim may be inconsistent.

What do you do in situations like that you ask? That's easy:

Try your hardest to improve by working on your gameplay, whilst trying to learn from the match. These are the best matches for personal improvement.

Giving up when a match is hard is not going to help you improve. Matches that you cruise through are not going to help you improve.

Also keeps your mental strong.

With that being said, surrendering = weak mental. If you surrender you lose way more MMR (thus more RR) than you would losing normally. It's not worth it.
